Astrid de Vries | Transforming lives in Haiti throughout the current humanitarian crisis | 11/20/24
A passionate linguist and humanitarian, Astrid de Vries embarked on her journey to Haiti in 1998, just as she was beginning her career in the Netherlands after studying economics, linguistics, and hotel management. It was during her time volunteering at an orphanage that she encountered the resilience and spirit of the children, sparking a profound connection that would change her life and theirs forever. Astrid quickly realized that even small acts of love, family support,
and access to education could transform despair into hope.
By 2009, having relocated to the US, Astrid continued her commitment to helping older youth from the orphanage-young adults striving for stability but lacking the resources to achieve their dreams. With her guidance, they completed their education and launched microbusinesses, laying the groundwork for what would become
Kids Connection Haiti (KCH).
Then came January 12, 2010-a day that would forever alter Haiti’s landscape. The devastating earthquake left millions homeless and claimed hundreds of thousands of lives, creating an urgent need for support as the number of orphans surged. In the face of such overwhelming challenges, the vision for KCH became a beacon of hope.
Today, KCH supports approximately 100 young men and women, with over 300 having graduated from our program. With a remarkable 99% graduation rate and 92% of graduates finding paid employment, KCH is making a significant impact in a country where unemployment is a staggering 60%. Through education and empowerment, we are turning the tide and inspiring a brighter future for the next generation in Haiti.

Why use 'Native Americans ?' Did they become citizens? Everyone uses that term. Strange.
I think if doing calculations including the Rocket Equation, which I'm familiar but not proficient with, it is that equation based on conservation of momentum where the math shows LOR provides ability to successfully land on the moon and return. Maybe it could be done with a massive rocket, the big cigar or Nova, but landing something big as the Atlas is too much. And the Nova was insanely big, larger than Starship. If want to dive deep into technical notes and reports by Houbolt, go to ntrs.nasa.gov and do an author search of John C. Houbolt. There are several NACA reports including "Correlation of calculation and flight studies of the effect of wing flexibility on structural response due to gusts" and "A recurrence matrix solution for the dynamic response of aircraft in gusts."
This “expert” should learn the correct pronunciation of Powhatan.
Very interesting...they're a great people
After reading the article re: great-grandmother who prayed in the Capitol, I realized that he was anti-Christian, had no respect for women and should not be in any position of power. He is also anti-America and not fit to serve.
Ah, the evil, corrupt judge who is a tyrant and violates Constitutional rights of grandmas. She did nothing wrong. We live in a REPRESANTATIONAL GOVERNMENT, lying crook judge and there is NOTHING illegal about confronting CORRUPT POLITICIANS! How much are the Democrats paying you to do your dirty work, corrupt, compromised "judge"? They apparently didn't teach you anything about the Constitution at Georgetown.
AH yes. Another anti-american Nation of Islam soldier. He made the list of judges to be impeached under the next admin. We don't tolerate tyrants or judges that play along with them.
you are the ONE you Tube
may God Almighty the living God and Jesus forgive you for your Transgression against this (Great-Grandmotherof (J6) your Judge who is not Legally able to be a Judge in this country because of his kind of thinking about Christians of this country...I will be so glad when his true agenda is revealed

is this the guy that just let a criminal with a long, violent history back onto the streets?
The American people are very nice, but the government hates the native White population. In the open program to destroy the White majority population, they commit crimes against humanity by import on mass entirely new and competing ethnic groups and fight for their interest over the democratic desire of the White majority. Year after the hateful assault has continued. Zia's parent were seduced by flickering television screen to dream of coming here, but it wasn't for love of them, but really for the hate of us. They hate White nationalism, but Jewish nationalism okay, so It is clear they hate White people and want to prevent our continuance on this earth. Feeling the love

Why aren't you famous? Shouldn't you be always a guest on CNN, Fox, etc?
They told me I should mind my own business.” In this episode of the Whistleblower of the Week podcast, FBI whistleblower Jane Turner talks with law enforcement whistleblower Raymond Hicks, author of I’m Still Standing. Hicks tells Turner about what sparked his interest in becoming a law enforcement officer and details his beginnings in law enforcement, earning awards and accolades at his job. He then talks about what detailed his career - speaking out about illicit activities in which his colleagues were involved. His whistleblowing took devastating tolls on his professional and personal life: in this moving episode, hear Hicks talk about the consequences he suffered because blowing the whistle and speaking out against injustices and corruption “was the right thing to do.” Turner and Hicks talk about how he tried to report these issues to superiors and the ways in which he was retaliated against. Hicks and Turner also discuss police whistleblowers and accountability in law enforcement, and Hicks underscores the effects his whistleblowing had on his family. Restorative Justice is not justice and it is not restorative. It is a sham- a pro-criminal philosophy. It only helps the criminal and it re-victimizes those harmed by crime and all of society.
