As a Filipino working for US companies remotely, I've seen a big jump in exchange rates - from 48 PHP per USD when I started to 54-56 PHP now. This means your USD/PHP can stretch much further here compared to converting your home currency. So if you can find opportunities to earn in either PHP or USD while studying here, it could be a real advantage, you'll be amazed at how much further your money goes. hopefully, things improve soon!
