I follow "milo the truck cat" and the driver just had to stop flatbed and indeed all trucking because of a shoulder injury/reinjury? Everyone's situation is different but she picked up a job as a yard dog. I think she misses driving, but flatbed is so hard.. that's just my opinion. I'm glad you still enjoy trucking....do you go anywhere and everywhere, or regional? Do you enjoy it more than moving the "rail cars/trailers" around? Wishing you as many painless days as possible, or at least less pain.👍🏼
Flatbed seems like real work to me. Those tarps are super heavy. I heard upwards of 100lbs. I am going all over the country. Started out with lots of NE but this run has me California bound. I'm hoping to get up to Washington State to see my sister.

Good for you, I am in awe of truck drivers, I have a hard time backing my 20 foot travel trailer into an RV sport.
Funny thing is I think I can back the tractor trailer in better than my personal van!😅

Sometimes you have to waltz it in and Sometimes you have to jitterbug it into a dock, you did a great job getting it square on tje dock . I had a place in Massachusetts where I had to be jackknifed to be on the dock square . People have no idea how tough it is to get it backed into places like this . . Keep up the good work and please be safe out there

Kudos to you, these places are the worst as far as space and other traffic. I'll take odds on you if you meet a car behind there..😂😂 while you're driving. I would also stay in the truck and eat, because you can't trust people not to break into your truck, and your babies are in there. Of course, the experience you have in trucking is a huge help in negotiating these situations.

Rocky and Walter are precious. You're doing great, and you might land in a better trucking job, down the road. And you might have healthcare benefits that aid in your neck situation. You don't mention the reliability of your truck, that's important especially when you have critters out on the road in this heat, plus getting shifted from one truck to another and having to move your belongings. I'm glad you're getting the miles, are you mostly regional, so you can possibly get home more often, or do you go coast to coast? I understand not talking about your company, or the details of your loads...just wondering...in general. I'm glad you took the time to talk to us.👍🏼👍🏼. The truck is a new International and so far it's been reliable. The only issues have been cat-related 😂. Rocky walks across the steering wheel and turns down the throttle so the truck turns off. I worry mostly about that when I go in for a shower. I'm OTR lower 48 and hoping to get out to Spokane, WA to see my family. The freight so far is everything under the sun, a good variety. No slip seating and I think I've got at least another 400,000 miles to go before they move me into a different truck. It means a lot to have you still along for the ride!😊

😂😂, whether one is sleeping in a truck stop or a house in the country... it's the same.. with our critters 😂😂. Hoping you are doing very well....and your family also. Hope sometime in the future we'll get a short update on "life, the universe and everything".
One thing i jave learned is that you cant fix stupid, duct tape wont even do it. . Lol . . This boils down to people not having respect for fellow drivers
If you're ever in Pa and driving on I 80 tje best and cleanest showers I have ever found are at Sapp Brothers off exit 120, they by far are tje cleanest I have ever seen. .

It's a shame that they are in tjat bad of shape, we can't go without showering and the truckstops wouldn't survive without us drivers. . The least they could do is scrub and sanitize the showers. . I carry a can of Lysol with me to every shower I go to. . Be safe out there and look forward to your videos, been following you from the beginning as I was starting my career the same time as you after retiring from a State Prison after 27 years. . Just can't take sitting around doing nothing..
It must be tough keeping the showers clean at a busy truckstop? When i was in the army we had old barracks and i swear the showers were all rusted metal enclosures with shower curtains. We always wore shower shoes of course and tried not to touch anything 😂😂. You are not being picky tho, if they're growing mold in there it could be hazardous..

Glad you showed the finished product! I really wanted to see how that item held up in the microwave, and freezing them would be great. I had to get rid of my stove so things cooked in the microwave are very handy. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼. Stay safe, stay cool.... ❤❤ to walter and rocky.

Thanks for not giving up on me. I'm driving for TFA. Two companies merged (Cox and Outwest Express) becoming Trucking For America. Been with them about 6 weeks now

I'm glad to see there is a fan in there, I sure wish I had known about showers and truckstops when i was traveling around the country in my (non a/c) car, sleeping in rest areas etc. I was pretty gross by the end of the journey....I was young and stupid. Hope you and the critters are doing well.

So what I read in another post was push back fifth wheel all the way to the back. It'll slightly adjust it correctly until you get to a mechanic to fix the problem.

So sorry the pain management procedure didn't work I think you have a lot of interesting ideas and I would like to see them ..I have heard that doing TH-cam can be burdensome, a couple of people I know moved to Instagram. Either way you have an interesting journey ahead and whatever you can share would be great. I am a bit behind with everything due to a death in the family, it really makes you want to "live every moment" so to speak I was going to have a garden but am wrapped up in home repairs that involve ladders, it all takes 3x as long cuz I have a heights "thing" 🙄. So would be very interested in your garden especially.
I really appreciate the comment. TH-cam can be daunting for sure. I've thought about breaking the topics up into different channels but I'm just not sure. I'm totally with you on the heights thing. Freaks me out big time - even watching movies I get the heebie-jeebies!
Glad to hear that you are continuing to move forward in life no matter how hard it gets. You have to hang in there. Sharing how you tend to your garden sounds good. You might also want look into driving your van as a medical courier (driving medical supplies from suppliers to hospitals as a independent contractor) as a side or possible permanent gig. If possible you could also look into doing online affiliate marketing for Thrive if they have any openings for that (Just a couple suggestions). Stay strong, keep going and keep us posted. 🙏👍
Love the ideas! I've thought about the map drivers too for Google, Apple & Mapquest doing the "Street view" but it's really hard to find the jobs
