Manual says to check 8th digit of VIN number, but my 8th digit is "X" which there's no description for.

Does the VVT bolt ever fail with oil carbon or fail in general to cause a noise or tick especially if it does not have afm. 😮

Thank you for a straight forward answer. First video I found that did this. I have a 08 suburban 5.3 that I'm about to do the lifters. Can you recommend a cam that still works with normal usage. Just a little bump in power. I figure it's the best time to do it. Thank you, Marcus in Florida
