Hi very nice. Im doing a nitro revo 3.3 conversion. What do i need to do to transmission to not strip geats?. Will a transmission from an electric revo 3.3 fit on a revo 3.3 nitro chassis?
That's a nice-looking bike but except for one thing look towards the rear 1938 bicycles did not have as I called The Fish Hook style dropouts for the rear axle if it was a 1938 the dropouts would incorporate long bolts called chain Adjusters but other than that I do like the paint Scheme on the bike.
BlueMagic 420 I built it at work it was easy friend of mine stole my idea and made them and had it pattened I went looking for him but he moved to Oregon and quit making them
john leer yeah a buddy of mine stole my idea and pattened it he is no longer my friend as soon as I found out I went looking for him and he left town on moved to Oregon
john leer yes a buddy of mine stole my idea told his uncle to make them he owns a machine shop had it patten I had no idea he did it behind my back he is no longer my friend he was selling them like crazy so I went to a few hobby shops I know them very well told them what he did so they took them off the shelf so he went out of business no one would Cary them so he’s done
Could you give somemore information on how you mounted the receiver? I have the same one and I am guessing that you have to drill some holes. Could you provide a close up top and bottom of this install? Thanks,
That's nice I did the same conversion on my slayer found a easy transmission mod if any one wants to know just leave a comment it holds up to a 6 cell no problem with out locking the 2 gears anyways that thing looks nice brother
kevin stamper I was thinking the same thing. Id like to keep the auto shifting 2-speed as well after the conversion but I just think the sheer amp burst of the brushless motor is going to level each and every tooth in the case. I think im going to look for a drop in alloy set thats identical to the plastic 2-speed and pray it works. I dont think I want to cheapskate out on this part of the conversion and get some cheap chinese pot-metal, I'd rather find a good brand that makes it (if they they even make a set at all) like Integy, I know Integy makes high quality alloy diffs and such . Everything must go metal from that point on including cv shafts, center shafts and diffs. The good thing about doing this conversion is, it almost forces you to bulletproof the whole driveline. This of course is all thought as Im noticing my Revo 3.3 is getting a little tired and am contemplating just getting a new nitro engine. If I do decide to do a electro conversion I'll be sure to do a build series containing each necessary part used in order to retain the auto shifting 2-speed.
Did you have to do anything with the motor mount to get it geared that high? Ive got my converted revo using the Tekno conversion running a 36T spur but the biggest pinion i could fit on it with the motor mount all the way down is 18T. Any suggestions?
You can run mechanical brakes by utilizing the throttle servo and a y-harness that goes to both the ESC and the servo. I did that and the truck is more predictable when driving and jumping.
Have you finished the upgrades yet? Can you post a vid. I have an e revo but want to change to the 3.3 chassis because some bolt holes have ripped through. That is a great stand, I think I'll have a go at building one.
Just in case I was a little vague i was just referring to the electric conversion as I'm more into bashing with the kids so making everything all shiny and pretty wouldn't last long for me. lol
Was this very difficult? i want to do something like this to my 3.3 revo i cant seem to find any kind of guides though maybe you could point me in the right direction. please and thank you :)
What parts do I need to add a wing to my revo3.3? Does it require any modifications for it to fit?
Electric is way better I think cleaner easier and faster quieter all around just better.
What would u call the stand or how do u make it
Can you use a stock controller?
Revoguy45 wat battery bracket r u using
Nice!! Do u have a part nimber for shaft needed to make it posi rearend?
The truck is nice but the stand is amazing!

How is the trans holding up, and does it shift like normal

Where did u get the motor mount
friend where I found this conversion kit (engine sum) can you send me the link from where to buy?
I really dig the stand!
I think youre confusing chrome with polished aluminum. I dont see a bit of chrome on there.
tankerboysabot your absolutely correct I did say it at one part of video but I should have cleared that up my bad
Bill Irviny bad i didnt have time to watch the entire video.
I want that dope ass stand!!!
BlueMagic 420 I built it at work it was easy friend of mine stole my idea and made them and had it pattened I went looking for him but he moved to Oregon and quit making them
you should pattern that holding kit makes sense unless its been done already?

Man your going to need cvd's and sway bars wouldn't hurt. That rotisserie is bad ass. I'm building one for my Slayer for sure. Thanks for the idea!
Just kidding. I'm a nitro guy, but I do love the torque of brushless.
Tom Parry lol same here it was fast almost to much power hard to controlled double back flips on flat ground
Shouldn't your title be 3.3 E-revo Conversion downgrade?
Tom Parry not 3.3 Nitro sucks I'm a brushless guy all the way
dude you waste way to much time "chroming things out" you might as well change description to revo CHROMED OUT! jeeeeez!
chris korol not chromed my bad polished aluminum and I like my stuff to look as good as the perform

Should do a video on how you made that stand. Nice revo though.
Walter Keen I sold the revolutionary and stand I built it out of aluminum and easy to break down for storage
You made one sweet revo here. I've been considering converting mine with the new 2200 castle sidewinder combo. Do you like this electric over nitro
Yes I hate nitro
I love the stand. I would buy one
Can you do a video on how to mount that tekno mount on revo 3.3

i would buy that stand that that is tough

my fave part is the jig you made to hold the truck! haha that's badass
You need to patent the stand....
Do u sell that stand

Ben Fletcher Some more insight and or vids of this marvellous idea!

Hi I'm working on my 3.3 question. How do I get reverse with the stock gearbox as I cannot afford another gearbox.
Man I need one of them stands cool
Nice upgrades ...
next thing u need is some hydraulics.....
wow man that is amazing. great job
I like your stand. how to made it can you post it thank .
Nice work on the truck! You must have a couple of hours into polishing all tat metal.
Just in case I was a little vague i was just referring to the electric conversion as I'm more into bashing with the kids so making everything all shiny and pretty wouldn't last long for me. lol
