I will never buy a graded slab without a detailed report. Never. PSA slabs are easily 30% more expensive simply because they have become a status symbol, but offer no actual transparency of the cards true condition. TAG or even AGS RoboGrading is what todays buyers are looking for. This industry has it backwards - they think grading equals worth, when all grading should do is give you an ACCURATE account of the cards condition in its encapsulated state, and it should be the same standard across the board. Only a scientific standard is going to give you that, not a subjective interpretation. When buyers start demanding better, then graders and sellers will have to step up or get left holding the bag. This is annoying to me since I sent some pretty good vintage cards to PSA and the grade ranges are crazy for cards that look very similar. I sent a batch that I had apparently not put in proper order and they took forever to come back and the grades were poor, but the cards looked similar to another batch with higher grades that I sent in after and came back sooner. I wish Tag was able to process older cards already!
