WurliTzer 616 jukebox - Light Animation Unit -- RARE
Only very few WurliTzer 616 jukeboxes were fitted with this light animation unit. That's why the unit is really hard to come by. And this light animation unit makes the WurliTzer 616 jukebox from the year 1937 to something really special: it was the first jukebox that used animation to attract their customers to play a record. Now enjoy the song of "Music, Maestro, please" from Thommy Dorsey an...

Wunderschön 😃👍
If you are still alive...
So can you show me how to get the pilasters out and put the new ones in without breaking the new ones..
I wonder if they are still together?
Yes, we are still together and happy :-)
how did you get the pilasters out?
Great video. Would you be able to help me diagnose the problem on my 61. It just scans up and down and won't select.
I knew that was Teddy Grace from the very moment she began! Love that gal and so few remember her today. Thanks for posting! (I'm picking up a 616 next week. Hope I can get mine to sound and look as good as yours!)
Is it for sale?
Sorry ... unfortunately it sold long time ago.
is that metal on the back door, or just paint?
It‘s a thick formed cardboard that is painted that way.
Cool. I need to figure out something to replace mine. Its missing.
What a beautiful machine just imagine how many people in that era danced or sat enjoying the warm sound of it.
good video
Thanks for your comment. Great that you like it ... long time ago 😜
i feel bad now for how many of these gems i gave a good swift kick to as a young men
hello thank you so much for all the great videos and showing how a juke box is rebuilt and transformed to new I want to wish you and your famili a very happy and healthy holidays and merry christmas all the best always
Can you help me out? I'm restoring a 100c and it has 2 thin layers of wood (like veneer) the top layer is painted with textured paint. I stripped the painted layer off I'm not sure if I'm supposed to take off the 2nd layer or not. Both layers are delaminated from moisture but mostly just the top layer.
The 1936/7 Rock-ola Rhythm King also used a light wheel. It only turns when the record is playing. The background is a pit orchestra with the conductor leading it.
Viel Licht!!
I for one love the way Catalin looks aged. I think you did a marvelous job! Beautiful.
You do incredible work. I'm a very picky restorer and i'm very impressed.
Wow! That sounds better than it did when it was new. They didn't sound THAT good.
it is amazing how the arm is able to apply the correct amount of pressure to both sides of the record and it has always been a wonder of how the mechanism works to keep the arm on the record while playing the second side thank you so much for all the great jukebox videos they are great
WOW! Great Job! What a beautiful machine.
bei meiner 1454 war es der 150uF + 300uF 50volt der ähnliche probleme machte ..
Right era of music it has. I have seen some odd ones, but this is super rare. That jukebox should be in a museum
I have one that was restored in 1983 by Glenn Streeter who now owns Antique Apparatus & Rock-ola. The side pilasters should be buffed out by a professional to a milky white finish. Yours are badly oxidized to an orange color -- this is not the original look of the box. If you decide to ever buff them out, you will notice that the machine will absolutely "Pop." Mine is also triple-chrome plated and topped off with a never-rust clear coat to protect it against tarnishing or flaking. Your jukebox looks pretty good regardless. Nice job.
Hi , looking Good, Just bought one of these and am looking for a speaker and motor mounts, so your video is a great reference,, very good video , keep up the good work ,, Tim.
I have that same 1432.. :D
What a great video !!! I love the music, graphics, and time lapse effect. Very well done !!!
does germany have all the american jukeboxes?
Who was that vocalist? it almost sounded like Judy Garland. Am i right?
I think its someone else on the record
The vocalist was Teddy Grace.
Einfach hammer, Ihr seit zu beneiden. Wunderschöne Musik Boxen.
Lavoro molto ben fatto. Bravo !!
Hi, Thanks for your praise. I have already a video in my chanel where you can see the b-side playing. Unfortunately I can't post a link here in the comments. Hope you find it in my channel Hope you enjoy it! Best wishes and keep on jukin'... JukeboxChrisi :-)
I wish my IMP worked as good as this one.
Hi, just wondering what kind of cartridge you used in this Rock-Ola. And is it a 3 mil stylus or a 2 mil stylus?
I am impressed. It took a lot of hard work, blood, sweat, and tears to restore this machine. It's magic to see and hear these great machines play on like they are supposed to do in reality and not in memory. Thanks!
@marcvie9 Many thanks for your praise :-)
I can't wait see when your done with your C. I have B and still working on and need found vinyl stick paper put on the cabinet zebra wood maybe you might know where I found a roll. Thanks Marko
NICE JUKE SER!
@tough213 Hi, I've just recorded the b-side playing of the Kalin Twins record and upload the video to my channel. I hope you like it .... Best wishes, JukeboxChrisi :-)
Sehr gelungen! Grüße wieder mal aus Kufstein! :)
What are the most common amplifier tubes in jukeboxes of the 1930s through the 1960s?
Nice job! I'm in the process of restoring a Wurlitzer 1650 that I found at a farm auction where it had been sitting in a barn for 30+ years.....
Pleas post more videos of this jukebox.
