Despite lacking opportunities, refugee youths are among the brightest and most vibrant and creative young people, especially in innovations, entrepreneurship , craftsmanship, performing and fine arts. LWF with the support of UNHCR and DCA has been promoting a talent search project in the various genres whose inaugural talent search was held in the year 2014; creating a one of a kind experience in Kakuma where both the refugee and host community’s artists, performers, musicians, directors and producers get an opportunity to put their talent on stage Not only is it 1st of its kind in a refugee camp , it brings about inclusion and diversity.. The main objectives of the talent search are to nature talents and sensitize the youth in Kakuma both from the host and refugee community to use their talents as means of livelihoods. This channel serves as a platform to show case the talent in diversity across Kakuma camp, Kalobeyei Integrated Settlement and Kakuma town.
