Kawangware's Traffic can be thick, But you can beat it when you cycle
The traffic in Kawangware sometimes gets crazy and you wonder how motorists get through it. But it is not the case if you bike like I do.

One of my bucket list rides has been to cycle to Garissa and maybe get to Wajir in a single ride even if it takes 3 days. On October 29th this year I finally managed to venture out with my MTB to cycle from Nairobi to Thika, then Mwingi before spending at Nguni about 220km for that day before finishing the remaining 160 km to Garissa. Here is a glimpse of the day 2 ride. Chapters 0:00 Nguni 3:4...

Commute Shots 007: Checking the insecure Southern Bypass

So on my morning commute to work I decided to cruise through the dreadful Southern Bypass to see if I could spot anything out of place because we have heard a lot of things happen there lately especially in terms of insecurity between the Ngong Rd Interchange (Lenana Junction) and Weighbridge area

Last weekend I decided to explore the Flyover to Thika Road which for a long time I have always believed finished because it's been years since I passed there in a vehicle and the Gatamaiyu Classic Road Race has been conducted in part of it. How wrong was I for the entire 70km stretch

you really inspire me with your vlogs on long rides💪,
Which camera are you using ?
Just a Gopro camera attached to my chest
Just to ask, what do you pack for such long trips, am a cyclist too and I'm looking to do many such trips this year.
Humphrey its not easy to answer your question might need a video to answer you but I will try to do a summary. It all depends on a number of things: 1. Days you are going to be out 2. Number of kms per day you want to do. 3. Your finances for the trip 4. Your bike and the terrain the trip entails. Now some things will never miss like puncture kit, chain lube, spare tube, extra cycling kit, power bank, charger. If you are bike packing then you need a tent, mattress etc

Wish you safe journey. Becareful though. There are factors beyond your controll:1) Drunk or intoxicated drivers. 2) Cars/trucks with broken breaks. 3) socalled MAD drivers. 4) Risk of dehydration. Enjoy your travel.
I always pray to God for guidance and protection. Otherwise we should be positive thinkers always. You can die anywhere and anytime.
People keep on telling me this when they discover am a cyclists. You can die anywhere, it is all in God's hand 🙏🏾
