Hello! Great video. Though a more clear call to action at the end with resources on next steps would be super helpful. For example, when I lookup “garden rue,” I find common rue which is native to the Balkans. Typically native animals prefer native plants. So I’m guessing this isn’t right?

I certainly hope you all spend a little bit of your donations on better maintinence of the gardens. I went in August of 2013 and was REALLY tempted to ask for my money back. I was shocked to see a bunch of interns watering, since apprently there were no sprinkler systems, 8 foot tall ragweeds gracing the islands in the parking lot, the wall garden was about 75% dead, Caryopteris planted in the shade of walnut trees, Bald cypress in a raised bed (and struggling), and all the beds were mulched with that shredded trash bark chips that tree services have leftover when they remove trees. I went to Shaw gardens in St. Louis, and let me tell you, there is no comparison. It's breathtaking, and everything a botanical garden should be. And admission was 50 cents less.

Shame i live in the uk because my 5 year old daughter would love this place. She had her own veg plot this summer and sowed, cared for and harvested peas, carrots, tomatoes, courgettes, radishes and cut and come again lettuce. And ate them too. We had a contest to see who can grow the best potatoes in grow bags, she won. Happy gardening :)
