Same color as mine and a great bike. I bought it last 2022 and pretty much upgraded everything except for the seat clamp, saddle and rims(since they are tubeless ready). Converted it to a 1x12 Deore GS, tubeless maxxis ardent tires, new hubs, upgraded to a Suntour Epixon 120mm Airfork and lastly carbon seat post and bars. I use it on mountain trails and on the road as my daily excercise. A great bike from a great brand.

I'm ordering that same crankset for my 2019 Talon 4. Also gonna try to add a new rear wheel with 12 speed sram cassette and shifter. Hope it works.

This is a great video for someone in my position. I currently ride a globe top mount kick tail type of longboard. It’s worlds better than some of the cheapo options, but after trying out some higher end gear, I can tell there’s still a lot of room for improvement in the trucks/wheels/bearings, etc. Amoung a couple choices, I’m considering a drop cat (gonna be a 38 with my size 15 shoes and being 230lb). I’m encouraged by the fact that you enjoy the ride of the drop cat, and that you specifically noted improvements from your prior board.

The drop cat is very nice, its concave and curved corners makes it great for both pushing and pumping. I would recommend a 55°vs35° setup (achieved by using drop-through wedge risers and a 40° base plate on the back) which, considering the wedge of the nose and tail, actually comes in closer to 55°+5°vs35°+3°=60°vs38°, paring this with 80mm Kegels will give you an ultra low, super pumpy setup that will take any terrain with ease. Note that you will have to do some slight woodworking to the nose of the deck to prevent wheel bite 80mm wheels, I just filled the neck down by some 5mm and applied super glue to the exposed wood, then smoothened it out with sand paper. I setup my drop cat 38" like so: 50°+5°+5°vs-43°+5°+3°=60°vs-35°, paring this with 75mm 77a inheats, I'm considering using 85mm 77a speed vents too.
