    Nice video and u all still use the haybine and the farm I used to work on they sold there’s and bought a disc mower 3pt and told them they should keep it for a back up and never know when u mit need it and had a part break on the disc mower and they mowed half the hay but if they had the haybine they could of finished and got it dry and baled it instead of baling half and some got rained on before Baling it

    Seems a little fast for that old haybine. Those were made for 50 hp tractors.

      Nah I don't think that's too fast at all Seams like a light amount of grassy material makes easy cutting. If it was heavy alfalfa or clover or green barley maybe have to slow. But as long as the knife isn't loading and knocking, give er man. Would have been cool to see a front view, so we could see what gear he's going in.

    U think I could get 200 rolls of 108 acres and studying to get my cdl class a and putt money down for my own hay farm business and drive truck and hay farm too and I like to work and have always had a good work ethic and all ways will bud

    • @deerekid320
      @deerekid320 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends on the rain fall, we usually get 3 to 4 bales per acre every year. I'd say you could do that with 108 acres

      @@deerekid320 gotcha and was looking at land in west tennesse and have to get my cdl first and just was wondering and if you have really good soil how many rolls u think u could get an acer and I know getting my own farm wount be easy but it is worth it to me and I grew up with my grandpa helping him on a cattle and hay farm that he was a caretaker of and he got cancer real bad and passed then I started working on a farm in high school and if u don't mind me asking do u just hay farm and I have been reading books too and taking notes too far as the business side and the farming side of it and the farm I used to work on my boss did all the office work and some field work like planting or spreading fertilizer or spraying nitrogen and I was mostly the one who cut ted and rake and baled so I got about 8 years of experience too

    • @deerekid320

      @@davidtravis1367 on our best soil we have gotten 6 rolls per acre. That was all fescue with nitrogen and potash in the spring. It is well worth having your own land, I bought my own farm last year and I really enjoy taking care of it and managing it. My dad has a cattle and hay farm as well

    Nice video and I am a john deere fan my self and how many acres was that field and dose that baler model come with a monitor and dose it rap the bale twine automatic and cut it and have a nice day bud

    • @deerekid320
      @deerekid320 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      This was a small 2 acre cow pasture we decided to let grow up this spring. The baler does have a monitor and yes it does wrap the bale and cut it on its own. Glad you're a John Deere fan!

      Tony Burelle it was raked. the outside of the field was brush hogged so we could see the electric fence easier when mowing the field
