I love this.
Thank you so much!
this is awesome. The original was the first Harry Potter set I owned and I still have it
Thank you so much, I'm glad you like it! In fact that's very cool how your first HP set was the Final Challenge, and that you're still holding on to it. My older brother owned the original set - later passing it down to me, so I'm really glad I have it too. My very first Lego set in general was actually 4701 the Sorting Hat, which I'm covering for my next video! It's been quite the nostalgic experience so far!
Perfect timing for me to see this as i literally bought this figure from bricklink today 🤣🤣
That's awesome! Did you just start collecting from the Knight's Kingdom theme, or did you have any of the sets back in the day?
@ I won’t lie I only remember having the big purple shield from the Danju build a character
Oh I didn't expect you to have every single set, but that's nice you had the buildable Danju as well. I think I have 4 of the actual sets, maybe 5. I do have the entire set of the original buildable figures, and I'll more than likely be reviewing them. Now that we have current buildable characters from DC and Marvel, I kind of want to remake the Knight's Kingdom figures out of new parts.
I love it, amazing job!
Thank you!
Amazong build! I hope you eventually get to do youtube fulltime. The quality/look is really good! Especially the white backdrop. To make sure you get the attention that you deserve, i would suggest doing research on thumbnail design. Maybe show more details of the moc in the thumbnail. Lastly i suggest to do the timelapse slower so your video’s are a bit longer. Over all really nice video and build!
That means a lot, thank you! I agree, my thumbnails are a bit busy, and or lacking something. I've been trying to figure out a good way to remedy that, but I also want to keep my backdrop artwork as the main focus of the thumbnail. I'll get there at some point I guess. As far as the speed builds go, I see your point there too. At first, it wasn't worth lengthening them because most of my viewers realistically don't watch all of it. But I would like to keep making longer videos, and I think I can find some good ways to achieve that, including the length of the speed builds. Thanks again for your constructive criticism, I mean it. I wish more people would point things out for me like that, so I can improve!
Looks amazing. Great job❤
Thank you so much!
Look at that - almost nearly at 500 subs. You're gonna be big next year homie. Keep it up! 🤘
Thank you Austin! Fingers crossed!
Great build. Just subscribed
Thank you so much!
Great build!
Thank you!
Great Build! Looks really good! Could see something similar from lego. But with just less in the style of the new 76441 Dueling Club Set.
Thank you so much! Yes, I fully agree. If LEGO remakes The Final Challenge, it'll probably be similar in style to the Dueling Club set. In fact, I'm almost wondering if we might see it as part of the upcoming Hogwarts: Main Tower this year. It could be one of the builds underneath, kind of like the bathroom for the troll or the Hufflepuff Commonrooms in the Great Hall.
Very detailed video! And the draw is very cool!
@MilánRigó-o7c Thank you very much!
yeah, I have no idea what their thought process was with the first version. (or the second, not in the video)
Without a doubt, the original Hermione figures are eerie. I think LEGO based the first sets mainly on the books, in order to release along with the first movie. I'm not sure if the figure was designed before Emma Watson was cast for Hermione or what lol. We've come a long way though, that's for sure.
absolute gem of a set, even though it was a very small set, makes you feel very nostalgic. The background image blends in beautifly
I agree, I think there was a lot more character to the old sets because of how simplistic they were. I'm glad I experienced growing up with that, as opposed to the range of sets there are now. Thank you so much about my backdrop!
I love the inclusion of the background that you personally draw, very cool and creative. Good job💯
Thank you so much!
The 3rd looks better
20 years of improvement always helps, lol
I love the first one. The roof is geniuse, so natural and cool. The build is amasing.
I do too! I've always liked the printed paper designs for the old sets. That's legitimately what inspired my channel and the artwork that I do for my backdrops. Thanks for tuning in!
Love the old mold for norbert and the mama bear hagrid figure
Me too! They're both very nostalgic for me, same goes with Dobby's original head mold. The older style molds had a little more realism to them, and I kinda liked how they didn't always have printing.
I have a bit of a soft spot for this figure. I wish we got more henchman figs like this guy and the Two-Face henchmen that make it cartoonishly obvious which villain they work for; just look at all the colorful cronies in the LEGO DC games!
I really wish I had collected more DC sets growing up. I missed out on a lot of them, so I don't have as many nostalgic connections to my DC figures. I started really getting into DC after The Dark Knight, but I hadn't bothered with the other sets because they weren't the "movie version," lol. I regret having that bias for a lot of themes that were made into LEGO. I do fully agree with you though, now that I have a different opinion of those sets. I like all the different versions of Batman we've been getting, but I do really want to see more creative sets, not based on anything specific. Sadly, I feel like that got pushed down to 4+, and everything else is related to a movie, or show. DC is pretty much back down to Batman lol, and they've barely made any sets for the Dark Knight Trilogy, which confuses me. I don't know if it's a licensing issue or what. But anyway, yeah it would be really nice to see some more henchmen! Sorry I got off topic a little bit there lol! 😅
Is that duke nukem
Definitely could be used for Duke Nukem. Maybe throw on the body from General Quaritch (Avatar), although his figure is pretty much a grey-hair Duke Nukem as well 😆
amazing 🤩
Thank you! J. Jonah Jameson has always been one of my favorite early 2000's figs.
Is that duke nukem
Pretty close honestly 😄 haha
I love that wizards chess set!
Do you have a favorite between the original and the new version? I really like the nostalgia of the old one, with the Chamber of the Winged Keys. The new one is super cool though, being a full sized chess set!
I had this minifigure from the magnet set but I forgot it was star wars. I loved the jacket and the helmet. I definitely pretended he was my own character, haha
It's such a solid minifigure! My brothers and I used it for our play "story lines" when we were young 😆 and we had used the torso for some type of military figure. It's really fun to hear about someone else doing a similar thing with the Naboo Pilot, or at least using it for your own character! My brothers and I were also really into Medal of Honor Frontline on GameCube. We used the Indiana Jones torso/legs from the Cairo set, along with Harry Osborne's head/hair from the early Spider-Man sets, as the main character in M.O.H.F named Jimmy Patterson. We had a whole lore going that combined Harry Potter, Star Wars, and a bunch of other themes, along with our own custom figs, hahaha. I miss those days!
You’re voice is so monotone it’s almost soothing 😂
I focus a bit too much on annunciation and pronunciation, so my tone is definitely where I fall short haha. Thank you though, I'll take that as a compliment!
I swear I used to have that, is it rare or smth?
Very cool! I'm not sure about rare, not this version at least. There's an updated one from 2005, with some dark blue pieces, and another print on the chest plate. I sadly don't have that one, which comes from sets 8875, 8876, and 8877. That 2005 version is about $8.50 used, and $34 new, so it's a little bit more rare. Maybe you had that one?
R.I.P Maggie Smith 😞 12-28-1934 > 09-27-2024. We lost another legend.
I'm so glad that i could find your channel. Great work and great video's. Keep going
Thank you so much, I appreciate you!
How much does it go for?
On average, currently about $11.25 used, or $19.75 in new condition.
@@TheBrickPerfectionist98 ok,thank you👍
@scmorris232 absolutely!
Still they have not managed to give obi wan his spiky hair style with a shot pony tail at the back , they only ever managed to have his padawan hair tail on the torso.
Maybe one day soon, we'll get a new hair mold like his. The problem is that LEGO tries their best to create pieces that can be used over multiple themes. Yeah, there are specific head molds for figures that need them, but hair pieces are a little different. The only two figures that would ever use it (aside from some random Jedi) would be Anakin and Obi-Wan. I would really like to see that become a piece, but more than likely, any of the Jedi braids will be printed on the torso. It's probably too small of a detail for it to be made into its own part.
@@TheBrickPerfectionist98 its their business to make lego's the best way possible, if lego knocoffs can do it, so can Lego, lego should make arm printing , leg side printing as a normal practice also.
I understand what you mean, and yes, Lego should always strive to create their best product for consumers. Each mold costs hundreds of thousands of dollars, so I'm sure they are trying their best. I don't work for Lego, so I can't speak for them when it comes to a business standpoint.
@@TheBrickPerfectionist98 they earn enough to reinvest to provide customer satisfaction, all of us pay a lot for this.
You aren't wrong, I'm not claiming that you are. I'm trying to say that it's probably a bit more complicated than what we all understand. I don't have enough knowledge about it myself to make any points or state any facts, other than the fact that each mold is very expensive. I'm only here to provide an in-depth review of my collection, which even I will make mistakes here and there. So I apologize if I offended you in any way, but I'm absolutely not here to argue my own opinion. Happy building! -TBP
Subscribed! Great videos keep it up!
Thank you so much JJ! I appreciate your subscription as well!
I have 2 of the new one. (I got a copy of it without minifigures for a create deal.) I am thinking of using the stickered rounded Tile to build a bigger and more accurate Potions Class room. I really enjoy your backdrop its quite fitting for the set!
Very cool, I'd love to see your Potions Class build once it's finished! That's also super smart, there's no need for extra figures with a duplicate, so it's always great saving money like that. Thank you so much! Those were my two smallest backdrops yet, so I'm really happy with how they turned out!
Scrolling through your channel rn, keep doing this type of videos, so relaxing and entertaining
Thank you so much! I appreciate you!
He is an interesting Character.
I do like that each of the Hero Knights have their own personalities, otherwise they would just be distinguished by armor color.
@@TheBrickPerfectionist98 True.
Wow this was good.
Thank you so much!
Love this mini
It's definitely a very nostalgic one!
2001 figure looks like she’s crazy
23 years in a bin of bricks makes Hermione a dull girl.
Another one of the best LEGO Knight Minifigures.❤🔥
Very true!
@@TheBrickPerfectionist98 Who will you Review next?
Great question! I just decided the next figure will be Aunt May from 2004, played by Rosemary Harris!
I wanna see every version of Darth Vader And Thier price
I'm missing around 12 of 34 Darth Vader minifigures, so I can't really post something like that. I do try to go by order with my shorts, so Darth Vader won't be showing up until I get to the Revenge Of The Sith figures anyway. If you can imagine that in short format, each figure would be shown for less than 2 seconds. That's why I'm showing no more than 3 at a time, giving each no less than roughly 20 seconds. There's a lot of different types of Darth Vader variations, so it's a lot easier to categorize them with my method. Later down the road, if and when I become monetized and can actually make decent money off TH-cam, I can try to go back and collect every figure. For now, that's just not an option. I would highly recommend checking out BrickVault or Beyond the Brick for some good videos. BrickVault has a video on all of the Darth Vader figs up until 2019, and Beyond the Brick posted a video two weeks ago on Blue Milk Figs' full collection of Star Wars minifigures. I haven't checked out Blue Milk Figs' channel, but I'm sure he has some great stuff!
@@TheBrickPerfectionist98 it okay
Indeed a disappointing devils snare
I wish LEGO would have created a new body mold for Fluffly, similar to the new style of a horse with moving back legs / neck. That way, the part count used to build Fluffy could have been utilized for the Devil’s Snare. I'm sure the price would have increased a bit, but not more than $10. It is really nice being able to "lay" Fluffy down, I'm just not a huge fan of the thin necks, and lots of light gray showing. Sadly, I doubt there's going to be another remake of the Forbidden Corridor until maybe the HBO show comes out. By that point, we'll probably get another brick-built Fluffy... but we better get a nicer Devil’s Snare.
I love Batman the beginning🦇
The Dark Knight trilogy is so iconic!
I love the animations at the beginning of your videos. ❤👍
Thank you so much! I hope to make a lego stop motion video on its own at some point. All of these shorts should help me with experience along the way!
I personally really like what they did with the 2021 version of Fluffy. Having a sleeping face, angry face, and one that’s half and half is a genius way of allowing you to display the figure in two separate states. Nice backdrop, by the way!
I agree! I really do like that Fluffy has different face prints, although I do have a thought that could make the figure way better. It would be awesome if we got a new set with a bunch of Hagrid's pets, almost like 75952 Newt's Case Of Magical Creatures. We almost got that with 76432 Forbidden Forest Magical Creatures that came out this year, but maybe LEGO could do something which included 2 more of each head for Fluffy, 6 in total. That way, you could have all 3 heads that are angry, all 3 that are asleep, or multiple other combinations. I just think that would be way more appealing for display. Thank you so much, I appreciate you complimenting by backdrop! The Devil’s Snare was perfect for the new set, because the build for it was very lackluster. Next, I'll be reviewing both 4705 Snapes Class, and 76431 Hogwarts Castle: Potions Class. I'm currently trying to figure out the backdrop for the new set, with it being able to close up on all sides, and fit into the Great Hall. Definitely a little bit of a challenge lol.
Small correction on the last part. Norbert the dragon is actually a girl, they don't reveal this until the 6th (maybe 7th) book and it's in a conversation between Charlie and Hagrid where Charlie reveals they renamed her to Norbertta
Woah.... I had no clue about that at all! Thanks for correcting me! I've always been confused about that, from when Hagrid replies, "yeah well he's gotta have a name doesn't he?" after Harry asks about (her) name. I'm guessing Hagrid didn't know at first either. I've truthfully only skimmed through the books, and I grew up with the movies as they came out. That was never specified in the movies of course, which is why I wouldn't have known. Thanks again, i'm mindblown!
@@TheBrickPerfectionist98 Yeah, its a fact thats only revealed in like one line in one of the last books so most people either don't know or just forget, especially because it's not in the movies either.
I'm just glad someone finally told me haha, thank you. That makes a lot of sense why not many people know.
