Darin Nakakihara you are sweet! I literally have like 5 vlogs on my phone but I stink at editing. Should I just put them up and work on my editing skills as I go?!? I want to vlog so badly. The editing is just so time consuming.
She lives!...ahhahaha...I didn't think you would actually respond to my comment. It's been a long time since you posted anything! C'mon, my friend, just post them. You can work on your production skills as you go. You moved to my grade and I was like, "Yes, I can't wait to see how this goes." and then (crickets)...hahaha. Let's do some 4th-grade collaboration this year!
I think teachers always strive so much to be the best for our students and it's hard when we feel like we can be doing better. The honest truth is it's a craft and you grow every yr. Each yr can have ups and downs no matter if your in the same subject/grade for years on end. Have grace for yourself. Teaching is one of the hardest jobs!!

I hope you decide to get back into vlogging. You have such a lovely personality and express yourself SO well. I think you could help other teachers, both new and old. I have been teaching in Western Australia for 34 years and love watching Vlogs from around the world. I totally agree with you about grade four kids. I love that level. This new school year (starts February for us) I have a split grade 4/5. I hope to see you again soon. Definitely give yourself time to get used to the new curriculum. You'll get there.
I'm sorry for the delayed response! Thank you for your sweet words. Things are looking up in fourth grade and I'm really loving my kids and getting a handle on curriculum. I plan to vlog again soon. I've actually recorded several, but have trouble finding time to edit. I love watching vlogs too. It is nice to see other ideas, get different perspectives, and understand that we are truly not alone!
I love your channel:) its awesome to hear from a 2nd grade teacher because that's the grade I really want to teach. I'm in college for teaching currently. I'm so passionate about it I just can't wait :) thanks for the awesome video!
I'm a high school student but I want to be a teacher when I'm older. I like videos like yours so that I get a glimpse of what teaching is like and what to expect. Can you talk about what made you want to become a teacher and what college is like for someone who's major is education?
