My stepfather bought one new in 1964. 2dr hardtop, 289, red with a black vinyl top, power steering and AC, automatic. Nice car.

Had a 64 Caliente, red on red w/260 2bbl. Swapped that out for a fresh 289 4bbl. With a nice cam. What a difference!😛Nice first car for a 16yr. old high school kid. At 70 I might start trading body parts to get it back!😳

I've read most of the comments on here, and we had a '64 Caliente when I was about16, 289-2bbl 200 hp with an automatic c4 column shift, I loved that car, still Looking for one I can afford

Father in Law has one since he was a teen and he shows it. It was that blue/teal color but re repainted it black after he got re- married lol. Hopefully we can adopt it some day and take care of it for him. It is his baby for sure.

Got a 1964 K code caliente convertible with the 289/C4 and it’s a great car. Being 35, I get people staring at me for driving something twice as old as I am.
