I think your approach to just getting it driveable to enjoy is a good one. Yes, the body is surprisingly solid. For a good cruiser I would go with an early small block that uses the OEM style mounts with a little more cam and a floor shift 3-speed or even better a 4-speed. I have 2 belair 2-door hardtops, one I'm restoring to a day 2 hotrod (bucket seats, 4-speed and bigger wheels, but original otherwise) and the other is a patina special in similar shape to your 4-door. Like you, I wanted one to drive and enjoy while I built the "better" one. I'll be watching your progress.

The seat bracket on my 57 was the same way, welded up on the passenger's side, but only a couple on the driver's side...good video!

I have a ‘55 Chevy project and had to get a replacement frame. My original frame has a complete set of nice body mounts but the rails are shot. I’m going to scrap that frame but will cut off all of the mounts first. Somebody might need them.

Should I paint the inside with turbo cans because gonna put all the interior parts back on and the headliner it’s not a show car anyways just wanna get it on the road what do you think the outside is gonna be painted with single stage paint tho

love the 210s the belairs bring a lot of rust behind all that chrome

for what the parts cost get one with as many usable parts as possible there are still some good re doable 4 doors out there

My friend I have been watching your content for the last 3 years or so. I want to ask, I have a 56 sedan delivery and I need the a passenger side quarter section that surrounds the taillight. I have a couple people I tried buying but they are always waiting to sell me a whole quarter which I don’t need. Would you be willing to sell me this off of your 4 door parts car?

Man thank you for this video! I have a 57 wagon and I’m trying to fit 255/70/15’s on it and I just installed 2 inch lowering blocks and I could not figure out how this was going to work and I saw your video.

Josh what happened to you and this 57 was watchin , then vids stopped , and in a later vid you said something about the debacle the 57 was and never heard another thing about it

Hey bud got any vids on replacing the door hinge , replacement used door , top sticks out , didn’t know how to get it to pivot any way tookhinge off that was a battle , those two phill ops head screws suck , anyway it’s off but the nut plate moved some how , need help , video advice , help
