Linda’s Paper Works
United States
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 8 เม.ย. 2022
Hello. My name is Linda. My love for paper goes back to my childhood when I spent many hours coloring, cutting, gluing, and making things from paper. Over the years, I have enjoyed many arts and crafts, including painting and drawing, fiber arts, and other handcrafts. Finding the junk journal community on TH-cam opened a whole new world of creativity for me. I found a craft that brought together my need to be creative with a lifelong affinity for paper and the joy of creating something interesting and wonderful from things I already have. I hope you'll join me in the fun of making handmade journals in the junk journal style.
Creative Ideas for Using Wallpaper in Junk Journals, #readysetstash
See fun ways to use your dies to make ephemera from wallpaper. It's easy to make frames using multiple dies to cut the shapes. I use label dies, doily and shape dies, as well as tag dies to create frame embellishments for journals. I also show how I use some tiny leaf and mushroom dies to cut shapes from a wallpaper border using the appropriate colors for the shapes.
Whether you have antique wallpaper, contemporary wallpaper samples, or border wallpaper strips, you will see ways I use them to create these embellishments. You can also use digital wallpapers for these projects, if you prefer.
Thank you for watching, and I hope that you find inspiration for a new way to use your dies with wallpaper.

What Can I Make from Upholstery Samples, Tutorial, plus Decorating Ideas
มุมมอง 34219 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
In this video I show how I made some fabric tags from narrow upholstery samples. I was delighted to see Meg's video about making fabric tags because it gave me an idea for using some upholstery samples that I was given seven little skinny books of them. I used some lighter weight cardstock to back my tags, but you could use a heavier stock or even file folders, which work great for tags. After ...

Put Flaps on Pockets for More Journaling Space

By creating these pockets with flaps, I increased the amount of journaling space they provide. I made two types of similar pockets. Hi Kathleen. I'm glad you found some useful ideas here. Thank you so much for you kind words. I learned a lot making the yellow journal, and I still like it. Hope you are having a good week. Thanks for coming by.
Y'all, as I am replying to comments I keep thinking of other ways to use tassels. For instance, adding them to drawer or door pulls. Even tied around a doorknob. They would also be so cute to use on a gift--maybe two attached to a cord that you tie around the gift. It's like a gift on a gift. I know these aren't journal making ideas but add so much charm wherever they're added. Then if you needed a tassel for a journal, you could steal it off the door or drawer. 😃 Make tassel keychains for your friends. Tell me how else you might use a tassel--small or fat, tiny or long. P.S. I saw some nylon crochet thread at Walmart today that would make some really elegant tassels.
