[MHW:I] Fatalis 10:26 Insect Glaive
My 1000th Fatalis kill, where some stars aligned to yield a new PB. There are still many areas to improve to lower the time, as well as just playing cleaner in general, so a freestyle sub 10 run shouldn't be that hard to get.

i dont have voicemeeter output how do you get that
Bro did not need the dragonator lmao awesome
This all worked for me but getting some audio delay on the clips, any idea why?
There are several more outputs to choose from now, I guess theyve updated it. Not sure what to pick
This doesnt work for me because I can't pick VoiceMeter Output as source in Shadowplay settings. I only see VoiceMeter Out A1-A5 and VoiceMeter Out B1-B5.
same
thank you for the video but menus are different and i still coldnt adjust i am super pepega in voicemeter :/
it only records my microphone, not game audio :(
Is the game audio not present on the second audio track?
Ah, i just install Banana (and restarted), i don't seem to have in the recording tabs the "Aux Output" and "Output" (they probably updated something from 1 year ago) I have Out A1, Out A2 ... out A5, and Out B1 to Out B3. So i can't route disocrd + my mic to the "Aux Output" in order for shadowplay to record that in the second channel.
The process should be identical though, regardless of device names. It sounds like you might've installed Potato instead, as Banana doesn't ship with that many audio devices AFAIK.
@@Chronozia The newest version of Banana has this problem. I've reinstalled it 2 times, same issue. Downloaded the previous version from 2 months ago, and it worked! Sorry forgot to update my comment.
I followed this to a T and still won't record my mic or discord chat. just game audio. any clues as to whats wrong?
Make sure your microphone is picked up successfully by Banana and that Discord is outputting audio into a virtual input to Banana. If you're splitting audio in your Shadowplay settings, your microphone and Discord chat will be on a separate audio track. Windows Media Player cannot play two tracks at the same time and it defaults to playing the desktop/game audio, but you can swap audio track like how I do at the end of the video. Hope that helps!
Probably best IG play I saw 😀
Thank you!
when I click AI I dont get the same menu you do, it opens a UI and shows WDM, KS, MME and ASIO. Help!
That doesn't sound like anything I've encountered. Perhaps Banana has updated? If you can, select your device from WDM as it's the most compatible.
Hey, I don't know if you'll respond but is there anyway to have the audio from discord recorded by Shadowplay and not have it loop back into the discord call it's causing echoes
I'm having the same issue!
Sounds like you're having Discord listen to a Voicemeeter device. I'd suggest to deactivate all routes in Voicemeeter and only use whatever you know you need, as well as set Discord microphone device to your actual microphone directly instead of a Voicemeeter device. Hopefully that helps!
@Chronozia realistically, I only need my microphone, but if I disable the headset game channel it wouldn't pick up game audio or discord If I disabled both right?
@@laorde It depends on how you route your audio. Anything that gets sent to the device Discord is listening to will be picked up. That's why I suggested to just use your microphone as input for Discord.
Holy cow! I could not figure out for the life of me how to get this to work. I was struggling for like 3 hours reading useless information, then I found your video and it solved my problem in under 5 minutes. thank you.
I download voice meter banana, and every time I record my audio and one particular game that I use endgame voice chat it makes the voice static choppy but when I don’t use voice chat, the voice is normal. Do you know why?
Sounds to me a bit like a bitrate issue, check your Shadowplay settings to verify you're recording at sufficiently high rates. You could also try restart your audio engine through Banana to see if that may help.
@@Chronozia thank you for that right now Nope still having the same issue.
Thank you so much bro, you are the best, to the point of the problem and how to solve it
hey! im using voicemeeter for audio tuning for warzone, but i can't figure out how to get game sounds to be recorded by shadowplay anymore. mic recording is fine, just no game sounds. have voicemeeter input (vb audio virtual) as my default device and hear game sounds through that in game, but nothing through nvidia. any help?
Hmm, that sounds like it should work. Make sure Warzone is actually outputting to your default audio device. The way you describe it sounds like Warzone is outputting to some other device that you're routing into your headphones/speakers but which isn't your main desktop sound, which Shadowplay is configured to listen to.
@@Chronozia so that’s what I’m trying to figure out. Game sounds are outputted to “Game Sound” channel, and in voice meter I have that set to output to the voicemeeter input, which is the default through windows. So in that aspect, it is, but it’s technically a virtual cable so maybe that’s why shadow play is missing it.
@@4digitShelby I might be misunderstanding you, but it sounds like you're trying to route audio to a specific audio device that Shadowplay is listening to. The way the setup I create in the video works is by making Windows output everything into VoiceMeeter. That's the game audio that Shadowplay hears. We're then taking that audio and sending it back to the normal audio device we use to listen ourselves (be it headphones or speakers). Again, sorry if I might be misunderstanding your question!

love it! i decided to change it up just slightly for the non experts out there like me lol. Replace the cooling deco with a regular flight jewel 2, and swap the flight/attack for a fortitude/attack. if im gonna die i might as well proc fortify lol. So far though, your build works great, even a year later, so thanks!
Glad to hear!
u didnt set ur desktop audio to b1 or b2?
Windows is outputting the desktop audio to the Voicemeeter VAIO input channel. That then gets routed to A1 which I've bound to play in my headphones. Shadowplay is listening to the desktop audio natively, meaning you only have to make sure it's also listening to your microphone and Discord's audio. Both of those sources gets routed to B1, which is the virtual microphone that Shadowplay is listening to.
@@Chronozia one more thing, since u set the microphone to the default recording device instead of voicemeeter output , wont that make it useless to adjust our microphone in voicemeeter banana since we are using our microphone and not voicemeeter output?
@@hanif4902 If you're talking about the input to Discord, then yes, it doesn't have any effect. To actually be able to change your Discord input settings in Banana, you could route your microphone to, say B2 as well, and have Discord listen to that audio device instead.
I routed my microphone to B2 , adjusted my Intellipan on voicemeeter and tested my microphone on discord but it did nothing. Is there anything else I should change? @@Chronozia
May be he is using damage mod, coz that dive atck doing above 500 damage is unbelievable
It's all just stacking buffs: - Fatalis Glaive - Attack Boost, Critical Boost, Peak Performance - Eaten for Attack Up (L) - Demondrug, Might Seed & Demon Powder - Evasion mantle proc also helps
doesnt work i still have discord and youtube in my clips..
Check that those sources are outputting to the correct audio device, that Banana is routing them correctly and that Shadowplay is listening to the correct virtual microphone. If you still have Discord and TH-cam outputting to your desktop audio, ie to the same device as your game is outputting to, then Shadowplay will hear that. Make sure that only audio sources you want to have picked up is outputting to channels that Shadowplay is listening to, then you can route everything else into your headphones/speakers without also passing it into the virtual microphone that Shadowplay listens to.
Amazing! Followed it exactly, even have the same headset. Thank you!
Glad to hear you found it useful!
If I want to play music while I play, do you know if I can make it so the recording only picks up the game volume?
Make the music player output to a separate audio device that Banana can pick up (say a Virtual Audio Cable) and then route that only into your headphones/speakers. Assuming you're recording your desktop audio, it should no longer get picked up by that yet you should still be able to hear it.
goat
Friend, I have a problem, when I'm playing or watching some videos... my friends on the call can hear what's being played on my PC, how can I solve this? help me please
Sounds like you're routing your desktop audio to a virtual microphone that Discord (I assume it's Discord at least) listens to. I'd suggest having Discord be set to your hardware microphone instead of any of the virtual outputs from Banana.
Do you have any pre fatalis glaive builds? thx
I'd recommend 2p Raging Brachy + 3p Teostra for Agitator Secret and Master's Touch. Take any raw focused glaive such as the Lightbreak Press or a Safi glaive built for attack and sharpness. Then I'd just make a build as similar as possible to the one I showed in the video. Focus on Critical Boost and capping your affinity. Attack Boost and Peak Performance are low priority.
Oh bro i wish i can contact you on discord to get help with this cause i use the potato with 4 inputs and im so confused :(
The general setup should be essentially identical. Make sure you have any programs you want to have separate audio from be mapped to different input channels. These are your virtual inputs in Banana/Potato. Your physical inputs (as in into the software) should be reserved for microphones or for routing an output channel back into the software, though I would only advice doing that if you know what you're doing and are trying to set up something more complex. Once you've got the inputs separated (like how I in the video set Discord's output into a separate virtual input), you can begin routing. I wanted to be able to capture my own microphone as well as any Discord conversation into Shadowplay, and I achieve that by routing those inputs into a virtual output - B1 - (as in output from the software) that Windows and Shadowplay then can pick up as a microphone. Finally, to be able to hear my desktop audio (including Discord's audio) like normal, I'm just routing the virtual inputs straight back into my headphones. My headphones natively supports two audio channels which is why I route the Vaio and Vaio AUX sources to different outputs (A1 and A2 respectively). If your headphones doesn't support that, just route them into the same output (A1).
Fucking legend, thank you!! :D
Happy to help! :)
Did not know his giant flame was actually survivable. The invulnerable diving was solid.
With 200 health it's survivable if you've gotten at least one head break. Just make sure to be at full health when the damage hits you. If you've broken his head twice you've got way more margin for error should you mistime the heal if you're not diving.
you cheated not only the game, but yourself
What is your pc spec ?
4770k CPU, 970 GPU, 16 GB RAM. Running a slight overclock but nothing fancy
man you dont understand how much i love you
this doesnt work for me :(
Check your Windows settings for your audio devices to make sure the correct one is set. If you can narrow it down to something specific that doesn't work, I might be able to help you more.
Absolutely fantastic video, thank you!
I made this video since I wanted a definitive how-to out there. Glad to hear you enjoyed it!
I want to be like you
I literally tried everything but can't get my mic working. System audio is fine, discord is fine, like literally everything but it just doesnt pick up my mic.
Are you sure it's on VoiceMeeter's end? If it's not showing activity at all then the issue probably lies somewhere else
Don't use this metod it will fuck up your audio, and make ur clips sound like trash
Restart your audio engine if that's the case. Right click on the VoiceMeeter icon in the tray, then select Restart Audio Engine
Thank you very much <3 But I have a question I want to use the mic from voicemeeter in Discord but when I do this my friends hear themselves what should I do?
Happy to help! Just make sure you're not routing any unintentional incoming audio to the mic that Discord is listening to. In your case it sounds like you've routed Discord's output audio to the mic that's going back in
I love insect glaive and don't see enough love for it this is great ❤
Thank you! Glaive is a really fun weapon; I soloed my way through the entire game with it. To this day, if I'm unsure of a matchup it's likely I'll just default to glaive.
It needs a damage buff. I mean I just watched a fatalis sword and shield and the guy was doing 4k damage short combos on each baited cone. 6 minute kill. Should not be such a huge disparity in damage like that given all the upkeep required for this weapon.
Where did you get the invisible mantle mod?

How do you capture only game audio
I'm capturing my desktop audio on the VAIO device. If there's only the game audio active there, then it's only that that gets captured.
I'm so confused. I'd be really thankful if you could provide me with any idea on how to fix my problem. Whenever I record with shadowplay, in the videos I can hear myself and the game itself just fine, however, it's missing the voice chat audio. I could blindly follow the steps shown in this video but I have another layer of difficulty: I'm also using the virtual cable which, as far as I know, it allows me to control the game's volume but also videos and any other media (I haven't configured to anything specific yet). My microphone is set up in the hardware input 1 and B2. The voice chat (comms in general) is set up in the voice meter AUX input and B2. The one on the left (VAIO) I don't really know what it does because It's never picked up any signal. Hardware input 2 is the virtual cable thing. I'm so confused on what to do. I figure, one of the solution would be to merge both comms and game audio into one so shadowplay can pick both up, but that'd take the control over the audio from me. Almost forgot; on Windows playback device, the virtual cable is set up as default and I'm not sure what that entails and I'm hesitant to mess around with the settings. Sorry for the wall of text, but I'm such a newbie to this software. So far it's been incredibly useful tho!
The way I've set up my audio (and what is demonstrated in the video) is to set the VAIO device as your default for Windows output. I actually also use the Virtual Audio Cable, however I only use it to reroute my Spotify music, circumventing the main audio channel which makes Shadowplay not pick it up, yet I can still hear it in my headphones. Here's an image of my current setup if that helps to clarify: imgur.com/a/DhpWqQp Since you're running the virtual cable as your default output device in your Windows settings, Windows will output everything by default to that, which it sounds like you then pick up in Banana as Hardware Input 2. I would suggest making your VAIO device your primary output device in your Windows settings and staying away from the virual cable if you can help it, since all it does is take output and play it back as a microphone. In general, make sure that whatever audio you pick up by routing into Banana, you route back out for Windows and Shadowplay to pick back up. Don't hesitate to reach out if you're having trouble; I found Banana to be really intimidating to use until I messed around with it a whole lot and got a sense of the main workflow.
Can you use this method to split off music running out of e.g. Spotify aswell? I'd love to only record the audio from the game, rather than everything else.
Yes! That's what I've been doing recently. If you grab the Virtual Audio Cable from the same website, you can set windows to output Spotify's audio into that, which you can then pick up through Voicemeeter and route it into your headphones/speakers, thus bypassing the channel that Shadowplay listens to.
i'm having issues, what output/input devices are you using for nvidia container in windows settings?
Pretty sure it is and should be the default settings. Personally I haven't altered any program-specific outputs in the Windows settings at all, just setting Voicemeeter as the default output device is all I need, since that makes Windows feed all audio into the program.
@@Chronozia i was just wondering because i set everything up how you said and shadowplay still only picks up my chrome audio which goes through VAIO
@@limbolul I can't really say anything else besides double and triple check your setup settings. I found that it took a little while to get the hang of how the software works, so I'd recommend tinkering around. If you find something that fixes it, do let me know! :)
I can't seem to get Shadowplay to NOT record my xbox party chat.
Check your audio routings and disable the routing that makes Shadowplay pick it up. Alternatively you could disable the microphone in Shadowplay to completely disable chat audio.
@@Chronozia I got it to not pick up my mic, but I can still hear my friends in my party on my videos. Do you know how to disable that?
@@tungpunch2836 Make sure your Xbox party chat is set to output to the correct sound device. It sounds like it's currently outputting to your "desktop" audio device ([...] Vaio in the video), and not your chat device ([...] Aux).
Hi, is it possible to build aero-glaive and actually do damage?
Unless you're slotting in Airborne and manage to hit monster parts where the hitzone value is really high and that are unreachable with other attacks, not really. The motion values of the aerial attacks of glaive (sans the Descending Thrust) are really low, so you're never going to end up dealing as much damage as you would with ground moves.
I followed all the steps correctly but in da vinci resolve it shows 2 audio clips but one is only gameplay and the other one is ment to be audio from discord or any type of communications but there isnt any audio
Make sure you've routed everything correctly and that there's sufficient gain on the channels. If you're seeing two audio channels in Resolve, then Shadowplay is doing it's part correctly, so it's just a matter of making sure the audio is picked up correctly.
@@Chronozia I got it to work but the audio from the communications sounds really bad quality but the game audio is fine
@@topassmonkeyg6131 Check your thresholds for what's picked up. If all else fails I can also suggest restarting your audio engine (right click the VoiceMeeter icon in the tray bar), since that sometimes gets messed up.
@@Chronozia yeah i can see the audio is picking up just fine but when i watch clips back on it it sounds kind of robotic
@@topassmonkeyg6131 sorry to necro but im having this same exact problem, were you ever able to fix it? im also using nvidia broadcast as my microphone input edit: i found that increasing my noise cancellation strength in nvidia broadcast to maximum fixed my issues, as a side note i also use no noise cancelling in discord and no gain or gate in voicemeeter and i sound good in recordings and to my friends in vc. hope this helps someone.
Great Video bro
Thank you! :)
why seperate the tracks?
Separating the audio tracks allows for easier audio management when editing the captured clips. Say that I want to boost some levels on the vocal track, since somebody might be too quiet or loud. Splitting the tracks allows me to do that without affecting the game audio. I could also completely remove the voice channel if I wanted to share only the gameplay part of the clip.
this doesnt work. because whenever I try to change my settings for the hardware I dont first off have 2 headphones for chat and gaming and second if i want to change the default settings for my playback in sounds, I can't hear a single thing and my computer breaks
Whether you have two headphone devices or not doesn't matter. Double check that you're routing everything correctly, it should in 99% of cases always be something like - Program outputs audio into Voicemeeter Input - Voicemeeter routes that audio into its output - Output should be tied to the device you want to listen with, be it your headphones, speaker or whatever else. Also make sure that the primary audio devices are set up correctly. Windows tends to be a little finicky with that, so if worse comes to worst, just restart your PC. Hope that helps.
