    I have a 2022 outlander xt. I put 28 inch tires on and they rub the little bolt on the outside under the fender when the suspension is compressed. Would these help clear that?

    • @minnesotaxmr
      @minnesotaxmr ปีที่แล้ว

      28 inch tires don't fit, 28s? I think the XT comes with 26s right? You basically increased the diameter by 1 inch. I'm sure the foot wheels would give you the room for the 28s. BUT maybe a shock adjustment , spacers or some fender trimming would do the trick. I'm surprised 28s have a clearance issue. Thanks for the ? and let me know what your solution turns out to be. • @minnesotaxmr
      @minnesotaxmr 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      When I first started my ride, I was surprised at the sound. (more like clicking). I found the 3 screws that hold the cutch arms seemed to have a little play in them. They had lock nuts with lock tight and they were tight. I thought I'd installed a thin washer under the nut to see if that would help. It did. The screws have just a small amount of play, (which you want) and the clicking noise went away. I'm NOT suggesting that's what you should do. The new QSC is different now than what I installed. I would suggest that you should talk to Adam at QSC with any issues you might have. I am a mechanic by trade and have been for about 45 years now, so I am confident with the minor fix I did. I do check the screws for security when I clean my clutch. QSC makes an incredible clutch and I endorse their product 100%, (I ride with others guys that have it too). The power gains are great. And by the way, the videos that I watched before I bought mine, Do have a bit of clicking too. Thanks for the ? "Ride Hard and Be Safe" MN Bill

    Where was your play evident on the steering columns and down when moving the handle? I have that kind of play but when I look at the side and move my handle the play is above the DPS motor.

    • @minnesotaxmr
      @minnesotaxmr 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I could move my handle bars about 2 inches right to left before the tires would move. When I lifted Sonny off the ground, it was clear it was the pitman arm on the lower shaft of the power steering unit. If you have a loose shaft above the PSU, that's a whole different story. You can tighten that bolt but if it's still loose, that's the bottom of your steering shaft. Now you've got a lot of disassembling to do. Check again. A loose pitman arm is really common on the Outlander and Renegade. Also check the steering with the PSU powered up. It' might be ok or maybe (hopefully not) you have a problem with your PSU. Good luck and let me know what happens. MN Bill

    Helpful tip! I’m a BRP tech at our local dealership, if you put it in park, you can rotate the secondary that little bit without the risk of gouging the ramp on the helix. Awesome video! Young tech here, just ordered a QSC primary for my 18 850!

    • @minnesotaxmr
      @minnesotaxmr 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Right! On the secondary. The primary, at 75ft lbs. you're not stretching the bolt. That's pretty much a standard torque for the bolt size. Now, if you have had issues with that bolt breaking after a retorque, I'm all ears.
