(Trans person here) I guess I will start by asking you what you think that you should be doing? Did your realm of activities do a 180 when you transitioned? You need to accept that if you put yourself out there you can't stop people from doing what they will? If people see you on social media taking a stance and then see you out and about, they are technically free to believe what they want. I'm still trying to figure out who and what you are promoting here.

Very sorry a competent therapist hasn't helped you lessen your dysphoria such that you could accept and love yourself pre-medicalization, especially given your genetic luck in being a conventionally attractive person, whether ppl read you as male or female. You sound like you've been and to an extent still are pretty depressed, which must be difficult. Doubtless many ppl will always recognize the fact of your male sex, and some won't. Just remember, no matter how much more cosmetic feminization is performed on you, you need to respect female-sexed people's human right to female-sex-only safe spaces, such as public restrooms, changing rooms, locker rooms, hospital wards, refuges, and prisons. When trans-identified males enter them, the spaces become unisex but unlabeled as such. This is ethically indefensible, especially for the very many female survivors of male assault and abuse. Since trans-identified males commit assault against females at the same or greater rates as other males, many females who clock you will feel no safer with you in their intimate spaces than when you looked more typically male. I'm sure you don't wish to cause others distress, but if you break the rules in this way, that's of course both what you'll be doing (no matter how well they hide their feelings) and *potentially* what you'll be doing; you can never know. Ultimately you've got to develop enough love for yourself that you stop caring about ppl's guesses re: your sex. You know the truth, you surely know that men and women can present their bodies however they wish and pursue whatever interests they wish, but they can't ethically transgress others' rights to sex-specific roles, jobs, competitions, and intimate spaces like public loos. I hope you continue to feel better as time goes on. Good luck to you.

I think the loss of the many years in which you could not be who you are is partly outweighed by the many unwanted experiences that you had to make as a human being in this precarious situation. In terms of being a human being, these are not only lost years. Gender is not everything.
