I got your same problem but i fixed it just make sure you download xinput1_3.dll (32 bit if your pc is 32 or 64 if yours is 64)and place it in Windows/System32 and it will work for you i hope

just update directX, had the same problem, updated all de visual C versions, not at all, then all the netframework versions & still nothing, then direct X & vualá, hope it works for anyone looking for the answer

Hi guys i tried everything, DBFZ Empress no steam, But installing latest Direct X fixed the issue for me. Hope it helps someone here ;-)

More information for you guys: make sure you have ALL the MicrosoftVisual C++ Redistributables installed on your PC. PS: Though only the 2015 Redistributable is needed for games (so i've heard 🤷), I prefer having all versions from 2003 up to 2022 on my PC to guarantee all my games work

More for those of you who read my previous comment: Assuming you followed the steps correction, if it still didn't work, add these next steps berore launching : __ right click the desktop shortcut __ go to properties __ go to the ''compatibility'' tab __ check the boxes "run as administrator" and "disable full screen optimisation"(should be just over run as administrator) __ Apply settings and exit properties __ Launch and hopefully have fun ✨

I also had the same problem like 2 days ago. Here's what you need to do : 1) Go to 'the folder where your game is installed' > Engine > Extras > Redist > en-us 2) Launch UE4PrereqSetup_x64 and install. If you are asked to download .NET Framework 3.5, **do it**(very important) PS: .NET Framework 4.0 or higher does not include 3.5 which is necessary to run the game. 3) Restart your computer and check windows update to see if there is a cumulative update concerning .NET Framework, if not continue to step 4. 4) go to Control panel > Programs > under 'programs and features' select ‘‘Turn Windows features on or off’’ 5) check the box next to ''.NET Framework 3.5'' if not already checked and select ok 6) Restart your computer 7) check windows update again for cumulative .NET Framework update : if there is download and Restart computer; if not, step 8. 8) Launch DBFighterZ and enjoy 👌

The problem is windows 11, if you want game to work then you have to redownload windows 10.

Just found a fix for win 11 and it worked, go to setting, windows update, windows insider program, choose beta, it will restart your pc, then go to windows update again then update your pc. you should see an update for the win 11, update it and after update, run the game.
