In Singapore, it’s actually legal to import and eat a certain amount of chewing gum. It is only illegal to sell and buy in Singapore, but bringing the gum in is ok as long as it’s not too much and with no intention of reselling
We'll done for your coverage about respecting Singapore's law. I'm a Singaporean living in Dublin/ Ireland lawless country. I'm very proud to be a Singaporen. In Ireland, anyone can get away with murder. Their capital city is a dumping ground for all sorts of crimes committed by ruthless gangs. Knives, machetes ,samurai swords wielding rivalry gangs on the loose terrifying the public, trying to settle their scores. Tourists are warned to be on the look out for their safety. Drug addicts, alcoholics and Romanian beggars are littered around like ants. Tourists are robbed and battered to bits. The iconic Custom House building is a hub for drug addicts peddling hard core drugs all day right in front of the police officers. Streets are littered like confetti of rubbish dumped in every corners. Well the lists is endless and getting worse everyday. Singapore government deserves a gold medal for implementation of Law and Order. You break the Law, we break you.🇸🇬🌺🇸🇬🌺🇸🇬🌺🇸🇬
Cool story bro. Anyway I'm gonna go enjoy a vape, a chewing gum and maybe voice my free speech at a protest and not get arrested or fined thousands of euro 👍
@@michaelryan2717 I'd say you'd enjoy more than vape, chewing gum and protest when you get the LASHING!

You're correct!! I make a lot of money without relying on the government. Investing in stocks and digital currencies is beneficial at this moment

Do children need a ticket? From what age?
Hi! Any child 7 years or older, or is taller than 90cm, requires a ticket. E.g. if your child is 6 years old but 95cm tall, they will need a ticket. A concession ticket can be used for children like this (under 7, but over 90cm), you need to go to a ticket counter with the child's passport to claim it, their travel will be free. There is a ruler at some ticket barriers so that staff can easily identify the height of a child. As a visitor to Singapore, if your child is 7 years or older, you will have to pay the adult fare. You can buy them an EZ Link card, I've also lent children a spare credit card (could be dangerous haha) to use. If your child is taller than 90cm but under 7 years old, as a visitor, I'd still probably pay the adult fare simply to avoid the hassle of getting a concession card from the ticket counter.
Sorry, the off voice speaks way too fast... 👎
Thank you very much . Great content. When is the best time to visit Singaore?
Hi! Personally I like enjoying the heat, so the best time for me to visit would be July-September when it is warmer and it doesn't rain as much. If you're worried about the heat, December and January are usually cooler months because it rains a lot. The Formula 1 in September is also a highlight of the year that brings in a lot of people to visit. What sort of activities are you thinking of for your Singapore visit?
This is such an awesome video with great tips! In Singapore now and wanted some last minute tips haha. Thanks so much! 🤗

Can multiple passengers use the same credit card for bus? Please let me know.
Hi! Unfortunately a credit card cannot be shared between multiple passengers. Each person needs their own card to ride the bus. If you do not have another card, the next best option is a prepaid EZ Link card. Similarly though, every passenger must have their own card. Buses do take cash, but it is more expensive than using a card.
@reachingsingapore Question: Do the buses in Singapore have monthly or yearly bus passes for those who are either students and working for offices?
Hi there, In terms of foreign credit card /debit card, how much extra money will be deducted in MRT and buses.
Hi! A 60 cents per day charge is added when you use a foreign credit card on public transport in Singapore. This is regardless of how many trips you make. If you make one trip, it will charge 60 cents; if you make 10 trips, it's still only 60 cents added. The fee covers the cost of foreign currency exchange for the Singapore operator.
thanks a lot
Tip 1: Taxi, correct just queue for normal taxi, its slightly cheaper, avoid trans cab (red) or compare using grab, gojek, tada. Also note that taxi has surcharge at peak hour and tolls esp if staying at suggested location like tanjong pagar. Tip 2: Train is affordable but note that it can be crowded and not 24/7. Just pay with credit card. If you topped too much into ez link, very troublesome. Tip 3: Sim card, every mall have. Or just klook. Singtel tends to sell extra bull that you dont need, but best reception. Tip 4: Walk because no trains there so this tip dont make sense. Taxi is hard to get ard the area mentioned too. Tip 5: F1 week is fine... just if you want to do any attraction, book ahead. There are plenty of hotel option. Avoid chinese new year. Most places are closed. December is good cos most locals are out. Tip 6: Ok Tip 7: Eat at hawker, coffee shops and food court. Most local eats black pepper crab. Tip 8: Ok

Bro just sighted a rolls Royce at 0:58.
Would you like a ride? Rolls Royce are very popular in Singapore, particularly where this clip was shot (Orchard Rd). Let me know if you'd like airport transfers or other journeys in a Rolls Royce.
What's the weather like in July? And is it easy to get a taxi in Orchard Rd?
Weather in July is typically warm throughout the day, sunny in the morning, and likely to have a thunderstorm in the afternoon. It's uncommon for it to rain at night. Getting a taxi in the Orchard Rd area should be easy - many buildings have taxi stands where you can hail a taxi or book using an app. Taxis won't be able to stop on Orchard Rd itself, they can only use the taxi stands and building entrances along the road. I wrote a full guide on how to catch a taxi on my website, check it out here: reachingsingapore.com/singapore-catch-taxi-guide
@@reachingsingapore Thank you so much! You're such a big help.
I’m going to Singapore 😃
What are you most excited to do in Singapore?
Uuuuuuuuuu
Bayfront, Raffles Place & City Hall had a similar layout where same coloured train lines are on different floors. Newton station is the only station in SG that a commuter had to get out of the fare gates to switch to another colour train line (5 min grace period).
When you get on the bus do you tell the driver your destination then tap your card? In England that's what we do but I was wondering in in singapore if I need to say where I'm going, if I already have the right bus from looking at google
Hi! No need to tell the bus driver where you're going. You tap your card when you step on the bus, and tap again as you leave the bus. The card reader will calculate the fare based on the distance you travelled, and charge this amount to your card.
Don't forget to press the bell (red buttons) when you are alighting at the next stop! However, you can also ask the Bus Captain to remind you to alight if you tell them your destination and they will be happy to help you.
So long nvr mrt like "how to use mrt?" Is funny. If language barrier so long "ow 2 use mrt?"
singapore said keep low voice ready for .... 🤞 😅
Wonderful video. Thankyou😊
Thanks for getting straight to the topic.
For student price, near is less than 50 cents, far is 70 cents based on my experience
I'm gonna say theres a reason why the downtown line intersects itself cuz the stations are very close to each other through walking (my thought)
I in Singapore 🇸🇬 😊
1:10 If you have big suitcases, please be considered. Don't take the public transport. You don't come all the way to Singapore to save $20.
That's rude. Please don't tell me you are fellow Singaporean.

Can i use my credit card to buy for multiple people?
Unfortunately the system requires 1 card per person. You can use your credit card to buy a prepaid EZ Link card for someone else though. Debit cards (as long as they are Visa or Mastercard) work too.
there is no such express lane on escalator!!! stop spreading your imaginary law/rule!!! escalators is designed to stand not walk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello there. Wanna ask if they are also accepting Debit Card both Visa and Mastercard on their transportation.?- because what I always see is they are only using credit card.
Debit card is accepted for Singapore transportation as long as it is visa or mastercard. There are some banks around the world that block overseas transactions for debit cards, check with your bank to make sure your card is enabled for overseas transactions.
Thanks you so much for the information. Will do it before traveling to Singapore.😊
Yes, you can.
If you want less sugar ask for "siu dai" means 1/2 of the sugar (about 1/2 teaspoon) or "siu siu dai" which is 1/4 of the sugar.
I'm just curious, are all MRT lines one-way or two-way? If I take the EW line from Changi Airport - Tanah Merah station until EW8 and transfer to CC9 at Payah Lebar station, does it go directly to CE1 Bayfront - Gardens By The Bay?
Interesting example! From Paya Lebar, trains can go to either Dhoby Ghaut or Marina Bay (inc. Bayfront). My suggestion would be to take the next train regardless and change at Promenade if you are on a Dhoby Ghaut-bound train. When catching the train back from Bayfront, you can take any train. Occasionally the train might not go all the way to Paya Lebar, but you can always get off at Promenade or Stadium (or any of the stations in between) and continue your journey on the same platform with a train that goes to Paya Lebar.
Very useful video, thanks. How can I pay the EZ link card? Cash? Credit card? Thank you
Best way is to use cash. If you're visiting Singapore for a short visit, you might be better off using your credit card for public transport - if it's visa or mastercard it will work on buses and trains in Singapore. There is a fee of 60 cents per day for using a foreign credit card, but there is also a non-refundable S$5 "card cost" for buying an EZ Link card.
Hi. Is there any singapore reward on 2024 ?
what a great video! another tip - I also land up saving up on unnecessary expenses like atm fees etc in Singapore - using apps like ATM Fee Saver - it helps find atms with no fees or lower fees than others along with withdrawal limits etc. worth adding to your list of tricks!
