This field trip took place in February, 2017 and was a partnership between these two entities along with Minneapolis Public Schools Jobs for America's Graduates Program at Takoda Institute and Nawayee Center School, Minneapolis.

As part of the Green Jobs Pathway summer program, our students visit Minneapolis Community & Technical college. The admissions office gave us a great tour and Isaac Deragon told us about resources for Native American students and about PSEO. Funded in part through the Social Innovation Fund.

Why is this Italian lady talking about ndn issues?🙄😆
I think it's funny that many people get all righteous and offended that Buffy Saint Marie pretended she was an Indian. Like, so what? Who exactly was harmed by this? No one, that's who. If she had been an Indian, they would have LOVED everything she did, which was to promote an Indian image of talent and success and shine a spotlight on Indian issues (like in the above video). It's as though they feel all her actions and activism are negated simply by her not being an Indian. Have you ever heard anything so absurd?
Just imagine what she could have done for Italian American affairs.
White fans ended up buying more records after watching this increasing her own wealth. How much has she given herself to tribes over the years or was it just activism?

She has been adopted for decades now into an indigenous family, and they love her and is part of the indigenous community. If anything, this is a situation for the Native American community to sort out, not anyone else, especially not CBC.

What she trying to expose here is the attempt by the government to take reserved lands from us, Native Americans, that is the important issue. Don't be fooled and distracted by the "Pretendian" ploy to discredit her and take away her influence.
