The way he did this in the show and didn’t hesitate just shows he’s bad days ready for anything except this moment when he first met Angel

Then in the first episode, Angel describes a 18+ scene he could do with Alastor to atract visitors to the hotel and Alastor just says "haha, never going to happen"

I know we're not supposed to look a gift horse in the mouth...but it's easy to see that Al's got something going on. An agenda, perhaps. And he doesn't believe in the purpose of the hotel, either. I wouldn't normally trust him. That being said, Charlie and Vaggie don't have many options, so at this point, it's probably a risk worth taking.

The way he says “cookie” is perfect line delivery I don’t care what anyone says- Martin Short had the time of his life in this role and gave it his all. I gotta respect him for that.
