But,like you said, we need to look every subcover of A. Just finding some subcover which is not finite doesn't h-show that R is non-compact. Cuz, a space is compact if every open cover has a finite subcover. There might be some subcovers of A such that they are finite.

@@mathematicswithnaveed4928 Their presentation is stellar, I’m sure you agree. Even so, when you solve some problem, you could write it down using ms word or similar where you make some useful comments in between. When you’re happy, print it as pdf and make sure people can download it. Mathologer also has incredibly nice graphics and animation. I have no idea how ot’s made but when you find something really neat, you can make a screenshot. Much better than making notes yourself. While good to do so, one should transfer everything to a word processor so that everything can be saved digitally.

This is a typical case in which one should not use the definition of the derivative directly.Assuming the product rule is known we set y(x) = x^(1/3) so that y(x)^3 = x. Now use the product rule twice to see that (y(x)^3 )'= 3 y(x) ^2 * y '(x) . But (y(x) ^3) ' = x ' =1,and therfore y '(x) = 1/3 * 1/y(x)^2 = 1/3 x^(-2/3)
