When funny was actually funny

The purpose of this channel is to share humor from points in time before incentivized outrage ruined the art of comedy and "the machine" started dictating what is and isn't funny.

From Missing In Action 2 1985. It probably wasn't intended to be funny, but the casual delivery makes it funny.

Jackie Gleason frequently went off script when performing in The Honeymooners.
I'm calling Belleville because you're nuts!
Either that's wine on the table or somebody got stabbed upstairs!😵💫
I didn't know Jimmy Crockett was so fat.
You want to wiggle? Wiggle to the stove.
Sounds like feeding time at the zoo!😂
What's my temperature Norton? Hundred eleven!😳
She's a blabber mouth!
You are a blabber mouth! Blabber mouth!
Love the skit with Ralph as Alice’s brother.😄
She's so hmmm and you so hmmm!
She's so hmmm and you so hmmm!😂
Charles Groodin was so funny, the one asking questions. Always kept that stoic look and demeanor. Loved seeing him on letterman back when david Letterman was funny.
0:25 is my favourite part😅 728 Chauncey st.. coughs...pays to buy the best.👍🏻😂 I thought it was 328?
One of these days Alice...One of these days.
Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad

Great compilation.
I will always be a fan of John Candy. 👍🏻
Classic 39 was far better
The bootlicker for the democrats!
3:34 Audrey Meadows can’t help but laugh 😂
Absolutely sensational. Thank you so much. Ive been watching honeymooners reruns since I was in college in 1977. I've seen the classic 39 episodes probably dozens of times each and I thought I've seen all the lost episodes but judging by the clips I just watched I missed a couple. One was the whip cream episode I do not remember that and the other was when Ralph and Ed playing Laurel and Hardy. I keep trying to find one of my favorite Lost episodes the next champ. If you can come across that one please post it. Absolute blast to see.
Dear Mr. Marshall, YOU are a BUM !
🤣😂🤣
To me the 99,000 dollar question and the nortons and kramdens share an apartment
Alices mother and her aunt are the same woman
Who cares
@@voodoochild8697 Who cares? .... Anyone with any common sense or logic!
When ralph sais IGOT A BIG MOUTH ....!!!!!!!
Best show ever put on television!!🤣🤣
ONE OF MY FAVORITE EPISODE IS WHEN RALPH AND NORTON WERE HAND CUFFED TOGETHER ON THE TRAIN THAT WAS FUNNY AS HELL 😂😂😂 AUDREY MEADOWS WAS A BEAUTIFUL WOMAN
Unconventional behavior.
You think you are doing the world a favor by chopping this classic show up and out of context ? Either post the entire episodes or GET OUT OF THE TH-cam BUSINESS!!!!
I have so many favorite episodes. One when Alice gets a puppy and Ralph gives his boss dog food , and my aching back 😂🤣 What’s your favorite episode??
0:38 Honeymooners Trivia: In another episode does Ralphs cough on a cigar and says the same thing? 1:20 in another episode does Norton wear the exact same jacket? 11:55 always have to watch that historic scene at least two times
I would like to order a boat with Three propellers.😂
@WHEN FUNNY WAS FUNNY == THANKS for these clips !!! Keep an eye to the LEFT of screen as that guy PUSHES KRAMDEN back out a SECOND TIME and that guy is LAUGHING and maybe was one of the FILMING TECHNICIANS !!!!!!
Some of the BEST 🤣🤣🤣
My favorite ep is when Raulp came home with a suitcase he found at work and Alice's mother says " What's that your lunchbox?" lol...😂😅😂
Funny money.
Me too! Rockaway Beach! ❤
Ralph to Mrs. Contini: “And you at your age should be ashamed of yourself!!!”
I think he meant her weight as well as her age
Such a great show. I watched this every night at 11pm back in the 80s, out of WPYX New York City.
Uncle Leo was portrayed by veteran short film and vaudeville actor John Tyrell who also appeared alongside of the Three Stooges. Jackie bellowing: “GET OUT!!!!” was comedy gold.
All i can picture when i watch this is the Flintstones
And the first night of the Flintstones all I could think about was the Honeymooners
Jackie has said he did consider suing Hanna-Barbera, but he didn't want to be known as the guy who killed the Flinstones.
😂😂😂😂😂
This honeymooners classic reminds me of the aunt Martha classic i love lucy
😮😅😊 oh, I think some of the funny honeymoon episodes were great. It's like the wacky Jackie Gleason show. He acts wacky in the episode. He's funny. Thank you. I still like watching them after 70 years later I think Joyce Randolph is the only one that's still alive. She's probably 94 or 95. I just saw thank you.
😀👈👏👍 thanks for the response back friend of me liking the Jackie Gleason show.
Joyce Randolph also passed away. She passed in January 13, 2024.
Thanks for the response back friend. They were good in their day. I'm watching some of the Honeymooners episode now. They're very funny what Jackie Gleason did with that. Thank you!.
One more time. Thank you for what I said about the Jackie Gleason show. I love the Winnie hollered I saw one episode. He had 39 evictions that he's telling people to get out of his apartment or get out of his way. That was great too. Thank you!. By all the old time good stars are gone now. They passed on in their life. They were good when they lived back then thank you. They said that Jackie Gleason show was laughter went up. Used to be laughter. I'll agree with that one thank you.
Thank you for replying back to my comment. What I said about Jackie Gleason. Hope you and the family's holidays have a Merry Christmas and happy New Year thank you.
