Bishops visit foodbanks throughout the Diocese as need continues to grow
The Bishops of Norwich, Thetford and Lynn have visited foodbanks throughout the Diocese to show support for these vital community organisations and also build a greater understanding of the changing needs of projects serving a wide range of clients.
According to @TrussellUK figures, food parcels given out in the East of England has nearly tripled between 2017/18 and 2023/24 to 349,935.
We speak to the Bishops and those working at #foodbanks in #Norwich #kingslynn and #greatyarmouth to build a picture of the work being undertaken through #norfolk and #waveney to support those in need.

And Jesus of Nazareth? Is the Church of England aware that science is unsettled concerning the planet's climate? Does the Church of England consider that the evident collapse in insect population is due to 'climate change' (in which case, why no similar collapse in less-populated areas) oir our lust for speed (cars and fast trains). This bishop speaks of "The Gospel". What, precisely, IS "the gospel of Jesus"? Did Jesus preach on "environmental issues"?

To be prophetic we need to proclaim the glorious gospel of Christ, not shying away from the tougher doctrines of sin, judgement and hell but holding out the true Christ as He is revealed in Scripture. The Lord Jesus who died in the place of sinners, the Lord Jesus who was cut off that, through faith, all people might be brought in, He, we must preach with all the winsomeness, skill, passion and creativity that God gives us. We must proclaim the Lord Jesus in all his radical inclusion and with his call, for all, to radical holiness of life. 2 Timothy 4:1-5!

Dear Lord Jesus We pray for all the Drs and the people injured in this war. Please be with them as they come to the hospital. Lord Jesus please stop this awful war. It’s horrific. Please also keep our Bishop Grayham our Bishop safe. Lastly we pray for all the Muslims Jews and Christians that they will pray together and stay safe. Not forgetting the soldiers to keep them as safe as possible. Lord Jesus it would be awesome if they came to the soldiers with a White flag and said, come on, let’s Refuse to fight each other and everyone agrees. This would be greatly beneficial to everyone. But we know they won’t. In Jesus Christ our Lord name Amen

Lovely wishes, but what you obviously don't get, is that you, sir, are a seperate, but linked, part of the problem. This whole war, the killings and kidnappings are all one made up, immoral, idiotic, disgusting, inhuman religion and its equally stupid book of asserted shite, disagreeing with another equally disgusting, immoral etc religion and its equally ridiculous book of shite. There is absolutely NO evidence whatsoever for ANY of what you say happened there. Not a scrap of actual EVIDENCE whatsoever that Jesus ever even existed, let alone resurrected and all the idiotic crap that comes from that utterly asserted, fantasy shite. And this bunch of idiots are killing each other over equally ridiculous and imaginary crap. The only time that this planet will truly have peace, is when either religion A kills all of Religion B and then they get rid of all of religion C etc, etc, or everyone finally realises that it's all a total load of ridiculous bollocks and to stop fighting over fairy stories and an ancient book of half educated iron age goat herders scribblings. All the bible and all other religious books actually prove, is that one day, someone took a pen with them. Nothing more. Just revert back to being an atheist as everyone was when they entered this world and then we can have world peace. Not until.

Good question, when I was a Christian, I could have come up with many things about how he would have helped individual people as he went about his day just like he did in the bible. Since I gave up on the god of the bible I can now say if Jesus was alive now, he could/should just click his fingers and remove the virus in seconds. At the same time ending hunger, wars .... the list would be endless. I'll be honest I spent my life trying to receive god's Holy Spirit, that amazing gift so many talk about. A relationship with the living lord. For all my years I never felt anything. Repenting, praying crying myself to sleep wanting his love but there was nothing. After decades and asking so many different church leaders (they all had different ideas) I started researching into what I was doing wrong. I'd read the bible as a child but read it fully a further two times as an adult alone and in classes. Eventually after years of research the only sensible conclusion I could come to was that the bible was created for man by man. In the face of the lack of good evidence for the bible, I was sad to let it all go and then the unexpected mourning for my dead loved ones as I realised, I would not see them again. That was super hard as you normally grieve one at a time, not all of them at once. The reason I tried so hard for the love of Jesus was because at my youngest church ages I was given the fear of an eternal hell if you didn't love your god. That fear still to this day haunts my dreams, even as an adult. Giving up on a god and letting go of the dogma of the religion has helped ease this hell fear but it's not been easy. Now days what happened to me regarding hell in church would be classed as child abuse and I've been glad of therapy to help me lets it go. I am not upset at my family for taking me down this route or the people in the church as these people (although I think they were totally misguided and downright wrong) did what they did to me in their version of love. i.e. If you scare the child away from hell it will be to the arms of Jesus and the child's soul will be saved. At my work there is a person who converted to Christianity after he had his very own 'Saul Damascus Road' experience'. Jesus appeared to him (while he was alone as it so often seems) and that was that. If there is a god, then he is playing favourites. The decades and decades I spent on my knees and the total emptiness in return was stunning. These fellow Christians say you just need to openly, honestly ask to be given. I guess my real answer these days to your WWJD question is, first show me there is any reason to think there is a god before worrying about what she/he/it can or can't do. Please don't think I am being rude it's just the way I feel about all this now. Thanks for the video and stay safe.

gray intheuk after reading through your message here, I am certain that you will find your God, if you just relax and let God into your life. I will be remembering you in my prayers. I was sad to hear of your childhood abuse and only hope that eventually the counselling you have received will work for you but don't try to keep 'pushing' God....He WILL come into your heart. 🙏🏼🙏❤️

@@irenegolden7073 Hi Irene, To be honest I have more years behind me than in front 'in faith'. For all those long years there was nothing, as I tried so hard to have that relationship. I meet so many people on my long journey who have this personal relationship. Most 'Christians' I meet know very little about the bible and don't understand why I can talk about it so well. So many were raised in it and never question if it's true or not. Mainly because you are taught not to test the lord your god and shame people that think they can. It is quite clever really because then you can not even start to think is this true or not. Many more go to church because of the community which is the one thing churches tend to do well. Generally I find that people all want this common link to each other and put up with the hour or so routine. The day the bible lost its sting for me was when I found out that the gospels were not written by M.M.L&J. I had always been told that the guys around Jesus at the time wrote it down straight away. This didn't happen. The authors were and still are anonymous and clearly copied from each other. Textual analysis shows this is what happened and nothing was written down for at best 30 and most agree (by Christian scholars) that it was closer to 50 years after the death. The canon was not compile until hundreds of years later when men decided which stories were in and which were out. There are so many problems, take prays which under exam are answered at the rate of chance. The contradictions across the four main gospels. Errors and just terrible stuff no one should read as an adult. The problem with evil and why so many different versions of Christianity (over a 1000) not to mention other religions. Now I am out of it I really struggle to see why I wanted it, when I was in it. Put it this was if he (she or it) didn't come into my heart when I wanted it I doubt very much it will happen now I think it's just made by men to service men. This is why women are treated as so poorly within its pages. Only about 8 percent of the total number of all named characters are female in that book. A woman in ancient biblical times was always under the authority of a man. Women in the Bible are owned objects, and, are defined by their owner. For example, take Leviticus 22:12-13: If a priest's daughter marries a non-believer, then, she is no longer welcome at religious events. It doesn't matter if she remains loyal to her beliefs - what matters are her husband's beliefs. If she is then widowed or divorced, and returns home, then, she is welcome again. What restrictions are there on a priest's son, if he marries a non-believing woman? None, of course. Please don't think I am being horrible to Christianity, it's just no one can help or tell me what to do to win the god lottery so to speak. Stay safe and thanks for replying.
