I'm 56 and remember the 80s oh to well. In reality depending on what state you lived in the makeup and hair was a little different as well as the music. The makeup and hair somewhat matched up with the type of music you listened to. Oh culture played a huge roll.

The hair is perfection So is the make up but it's waaaaay too reserved and well executed to be true 1980s make up. I was there and I have to tell you that everyday make was brutal and incredibly unflattering. The products weren't any good and certain things commonly used nowadays weren't used by the everyday woman in the 1980s. Off the top of my head, those three products are: false eyelashes, winged liquid liner and masterful 'drag' brows. Modern1980s 'retro' looks are much nicer versions. Teenagers today are excellent at doing make up compared to back then. The brows look really groomed and the eyes look bright and clean, the products are applied with such attention to technical detail and symmetry. Liquid liner used the way it is today was NOT a thing either. I remember doing people's make up on counter in the 1990s and the quickest way to make a woman feel self-conscious (no matter how beautifully executed the technique) was to groom, shape and fill in her brows. Back then it was done very naturally, very gently and even then, it would make them reel with paranoia when they looked into the mirror, fearful that everybody would stare at their 'fake and obvious' brows. Winged liquid liner would make them feel like pantomime actresses or as if they were going a really directional far too extreme 'style' for day to day. Matte lipsticks and lipliner were big in the 1990s (everybody had 'Insolence' by Poppy😆). It's amazing how trends have changed. You looked so cute in this video, the make up was PERFECT on you, you looked like a human macaron or a fluffy pastel cloud that smells like the fragrance 'Guimauve de Noel' by Parle Moi de Parfums. 🤩
