Tbh they used to be my favorite band. Now when I listen there are elements I love and elements I loath. So I’m half hate listening and half loving it. They are so weird. There are moments where they sound so dry and let’s be honest, they aren’t great singers (Trey actually sounds pretty good here though). They sometimes have awful lyrics. Then they have these mind blowing instrumental moments both composed and improv. What a weird ass band. Seen them 5 times. Seen some of their side projects live too. Hard not to wonder what was up with Mike and that girl thing. Also saw him walking around St John’s wearing his weird socks was tempted to go hug him but he was with his family.

Can’t believe I was still so bitter to be dismissing this at this time, took me till 2016 to finally see a show again, and I missed a lot of great stuff. I’m an asshole…but thank you so much for posting this! I’d been seeing Fall 2103 mentioned in the same breath as some other classic tours, and after listening to these Halloween shows I finally get it

I just recently found Robert Palmer’s cover of “Sneaking Sally Through the Alley,” and the first thought that came to mind was: “This is funky; it would make a great Phish cover.” And lo, Phish has been covering it for years - just not at any of the shows I have been at.

Keyboard player gets that vintage Clavinet sound-funky. Gotta love a band that achieves this high level of syncopation in their music.

This chick had lost her lil purse and came back looking for it and I found out gave it to her and asked her name she said Sally,I said they're gonna play it last song Merryweather Post and they play it. 04% it was one of my best calls, missing those days guess I'm gonna have to hit the road maybe she let me drive just because....
