Does "Hide comments" affect all users? Or each user manages that on there own?
@AdamHarte-m7y Hiding comments in Figma only affects the person who hides them. Each user has individual control over their comment visibility. As long as a comment hasn't been marked as 'resolved,' other collaborators should be able to see it.
That is really really great mate 😍

Goodness for someone doing design, ur presentation layout is poor. Viewing this video on a mobile is impossible, the contents are so small. 😮
@@chieduagain thanks I think? So, how can I improve on the video, grasshopper? You know, it may look better on a computer too? I can't help it if you are visiting with a small device.
@@ulearntechA true designer would seek middle ground at least. What's good on a mobile would be awesome on a desktop. From watching ur video on a mobile, i could see so much wasted space on the sides. Which means the layout could be bigger
@@chieduagain thanks for the feedback! I do love the fact you openly give constructive feedback to improve on. I will definitely keep this in mind while making other videos as well. It's the only way to improve.
@chieduagain I would love your intake on my last video, Photoshop Actions? I did magnify zoom on certain tools, but curious if that's an improvement on the chatGPT to Figma video?
Works so so, but it helps a little
@@zaklina8979 I would agree with you on this one. For some weird reason it was super good, and then along the way, it did a so-so job. Instead, I just copy the code now, see, XD to Figma in Seconds for Free (No Plugin), th-cam.com/video/qa36cBXh3vM/w-d-xo.html
@@ulearntech I copied SVG and it worked much better for me :D
@@zaklina8979 awesome to hear that copying the SVG code worked way better than expected using 'Convertify!' . Thanks for getting back to me to let me know.
The whole member and sharing business in Figma is totally confusing when you start digging into single page shares vs team member sharing and different access types etc. The program is totally over engineered, I could do a way better job of designing this. Simplify is keyword.
@Underhills sometimes less is better! 100% agree with you on that one!
when i click image trace it turns into a white box
@RiseolPark. chances are you forgot to click on 'expand' ....essentially, you have 'traced' the logo, but now you need to 'release' the trace from action so to speak
Thanks for this! I'm excited to see the follow up for this video, and how to improve the auto-generated Style Guides!
@alexmustin oh man, what pressure! I have the video half done but, I need to switch gears for a couple of students who needs some help with Photoshop...it isn't ideal...because it's a three-part video to improve the style guide of course...but maybe, I should just simplify just for the sake of the video?!
Thank you! this helps me so much.
@@AransJade you're very welcome! It sure beats redrawing a logo by hand! Although, sometimes you do get better results if done by the pen tool! Make sure to subscribe and turn on the notifications to the channel, I plan to create some new Illustrator videos in the near future.

@@shinessstar5762 yes, anyone can use it. No need to register an account...I know I haven't. I have even searched my blog and it works. omg. absolute lifesaver.
@allyfowlks9067 Phew, and it only took 60 seconds too! Hopefully, you didn't spend more time than that looking online trying to figure out how to do it (what search description did you use, that this came up as a video resource ?). Let me know in the comments if you can. And thanks again for the kind words! I still wonder if these videos are even relevant after five years....I guess it is! 😇
Unfortunately, not everything came across in the correct place or style. Not sure if this is a version thing, but since the video is 7 months old, changes in the apps may have impacted the reliability of this method.
It won't copy the prototype connectors, could it be a version issue....maybe? Depending on the complexity too as well. At work, it copies between 75-90% while the remaining we need to tweak it a bit. It does help a bit not having to re-create everything though. If you wanted, you could use the Figma"s plug-in too, but, you only get 10 free ones to see if it's better than the SVG copying. th-cam.com/video/b21JK_enPyY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=WyTGbMQxs2_FE05M
@@ulearntech Many thanks. I'm not even sure that the plugin offer the free conversions anymore. But I will look.
@@londonwebdesignagency I'll have a look in a few hours (it's 4am PST)...
@@londonwebdesignagency I just looked and created a new Figma account to see and yes, '10 free Convertify Pro uses left' are still available to new users. Some of the important things fro Convertify: • One-click, automatic conversion from Figma to Sketch, Adobe XD, After Effects or EPS. • Import your Adobe XD files, PDF files, Adobe Illustrator files, SVG files, or Google Docs/Sheets into Figma with one click. • Converts each artboard (layer-by-layer) to a real .sketch or .xd file. • Simple pages converted in seconds; larger pages in minutes. • Converts almost all layer styles and properties (see below for details). • Includes color and text style libraries from Figma. *NOTE: You can transfer the prototype connections over but, I normally turn this option off so that I don't have any additional errors...I want the convert to smooth sailing.
Have you used Lunacy software, it is lighter weight on the system resources than any design tool right now.

If your favicon is created small, your favicon will show up just as small in the tabs themselves. Remember, your favicon represents your website's brand, so make it stand-out!
Thanks! You just saved me a ton of time with this! It's wild that Adobe purchased figma, but didn't build an import function for Xd files. The only thing I might add in the video is that some of the styles (ex. rounded corners) might not be editable when you bring them over.
@jessejustsick Glad to hear that I was a 'life-saver!' once again! Although, Adobe did buy Figma, but the deal was later terminated due to regulatory concerns. I did try with a 'rounded' corners and I was able to import either the 'frame with the rounded corners' or 'the selected rounded corners' into an open Figma file. I also tried copying the 'selected rounded corners' as well, and it did indeed copy with it. I also tried this with 4 rows of movie posters in the rounded corners, and it was fine too. Not sure why I can't replicate the same issue on my end. Thanks again for watching. Don't forget to subscribe for more helpful tips and tricks, and turn on notifications so you never miss an update! @@ulearntech I'll have to take another look. It just appeared that the native functionality of editing rounded rectangles didn't carry over. It was like they were two different shapes. Also, each line of my paragraphs were created separate text frames. Don't get me wrong... while annoying, it sure as heck beats re-creating everything from scratch! Even Convertify doesn't perfectly carry over everything. I can't believe I didn't know about the Figma purchase falling through! I wonder if Adobe plans to still stay in the UX/UI app space?
@@jessejustsick currently XD is still in maintenance mode since May 2023...saying that, it's anyone guess what will happen to XD. No new developments will be made XD but only security patches will be updated. It is what it is....I kinda wished they took some of the best things of Figma and applied that to XD

It all works until I create a new file and then paste it. It pastes a broken version of what I'd copied. No image appears but a few of the anchor points can be seen. Very few. What did I miss?
@LARRYLONGSTRETH use the direct selection tool to remove the unwanted artwork first. Then when ready, either do a marquee selection or Command A for the Mac or Control A for the PC to Select All. now obsolete
That's not true @qubit002 ...I did a search on a new account as well, you can go the plug-in webpage as well. wiregen.ai and if you scroll down, you will see the Figma plugin button as well in blue
this is now obsolete
Are you on the Resources - Plugins, not the Components tab? I did a search, and Wiregen does show up. Also, you can find it on their website (wiregen.ai) by scrolling down to the blue button.
@@ulearntech The Wiregen AI plugin appears to be broken, many reports of it on the plugin page and upon testing I can confirm it just presents a "Something went wrong" message.
@@shawbrandonr Interesting! I tried as well, and sadly disappointed. Doesn't seem to be any work-around now. There are similar applications, but I haven't test it out fully such as Wireframe Designer (10 free generations) to WireFrame and Musho. For me it doesn't work so well, some styles and colors are missing from the original XD. I am wondering if I am doing something wrong?
@AliceMoretti-w1y , you need to make sure the colors are saved as styles. Around the time 1:10, import color & text styles... The XD files needs these to be saved correctly as a style. That's the only thing I could think of for why it isn't working on your end. Try that out first. And let me know. There are only 10 free Converts and after that you need to pay. Thanks, help a lot.
I would say using the Convertify plug-in does have its limitations. You do get 10 free converts, then after that's done, you need to pay for it. But, if you also want to try a different method, you can also take your XD files by copying the SVG code, th-cam.com/video/qa36cBXh3vM/w-d-xo.html If you think others can benefit from this design tutorial, do share it and subscribe as more videos are coming up. And thanks for watching!
