There’s a magnet in the barrel of the new back mounted cannon. That’s what turns the light in the main cannon on. As it’s switched on by magnet, the batteries will run out quickly.

In hand, the new head looks much better to me. I used the black screws from the original in the cannon, but you can’t use the original black head screw, as it’s too long.

Most people seem to assume that they are going to recreate the vintage toys. I think it's equally likely that they will give us original creations. They said that they were going to "continue where the 80s toys left off", not produce what would essentially be glorified reissues.
