yes , we did it without a guide. If you're confident enough , it's ok, as there's no way to get lost inside. You need to take a small rope (2 to 3 meters) and most of all, make sure that the weather is fine and safe (flash floods can be dramatic there).

@@chtiniko Thank you so much, I had planned to go last spring but now because of Covid I'm looking at the fall when it won't be super hot, but the one thing I am worried about is flash floods, how do you even know when there will be a flash flood? Also what do I do with the rope is there somewhere to tie it on that is reachable? I will be going alone this time. Here in Israel some of the national parks with climbing, have metal things built into the rock that you climb on so no need for a rope.

hi there, thanks for your encouraging comment:-) . Yes you can visit wadi ghuweir all year long, as soon as there is no risk of flashflood. so end february might be suitable, but please update yourself with you hotel or camp tenant and notify someone before you actually go into the wadi;-)

Hello Marie, non, aucun guide n'est nécessaire pour celui ci(le "siq trail"). Vous payez simplement 21 JOD a l'entrée (ou 19 si résident), ils vous donnent un gilet de sauvetage, et vogue la galère !

non, pas la peine pour le siq trail, impossible de se perdre. L'entrée est payante, et on nous prête alors un gilet de sauvetage :-)

Hello Winwin Pix, tant que vous restez au fond du wadi sur la piste, ca reste facile et ca permet de se faire une bonne idée de l'ambiance (une heure suffit ;-) ). Ca se complique quand on monte , avec un chemin rocailleux un peu plus technique. envoyez nous un mp sur facebook, pour qu'on puisse vous envoyer une loc si besoin!
