Back at the skatepark after a foot injury
มุมมอง 2021 วันที่ผ่านมา
It's good to be back! Although this wasn't my best skating I was happy to be on the board again. Now I didn't really break my foot it was most likely a sprang, but I never got it checked so you never know. All I do know is that it was very painful and annoying for the past month.
Not sure where I’m going with this…

Do you know where to buy the same Side Step/Running Board for LC100? Thanks.
i use those cranks on my XC/trail bike in a non boost frame with a 5.5mm custom offset for a 36t chainring, shimano deore cassette and kmc 12 speed chain and worked amazing since day 1 im about 200 lbs/90 kg and can put some decent wattage on the uphills and the crankset is rock solid even after 5 months of rocky trails on a hardtail
I like to hear this. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for the video, its very nice and informative video. Can you make a video how to jack up LandCruiser properly by the correct jack points! Thanks in advance. 1:26 i saw very nice jacks and the one on the middle had rectangle material underneath it, what is it?
This is great!
Thanks!
im glad youre okay bro i was watching the video you posted on the polygon your friend got im getting it to and i seen you mentioned that had to make sure you were okay after than glad to see thoe
Thanks for checking on me! Doing great I’m fortunate not to have received a serious injury from this.
Not checking the boxz we've all been there
Haha oops
I have a Ford transit custom and getting washer fluid level low, so I disconnect the wires and it’s still reading washer level low even although there is no power to the sensor ?
Hmm are you certain you pulled the correct plug? May require replacing
Yes definitely as I replaced the sensor first and it made no difference, so I then thought just remove the two pin plug but it’s still reading washer fluid low, i believe maybe something like a open or closed circuit ?
@ hmm that’s odd. Try checking some fuses . Sorry I’m not certain on how to go from here
Just today I disconnected the plug from back of sensor and bridged it with a piece of wire and its not showing on dash any more, I think joining it up closes the circuit and it thinks the washer bottle is full. ? Am happy none the less as not showing on dash any more.
@ smart move! That will work
Did it clunk when shifting? Whats wrong if theres a clunk sound when shifting into Drive?
Could be this. Usually notice it going into drive and reverse
@@rywandersCool. Thank you! One more question. Would there be any other reason it would still make that sound once it is all greased up?
GFT! Great video. Newb question. How did you know which DUB to use?
Thanks! So sram has a chart for the dub . I referenced the measurements from the bike itself and the BB from SHIMANO.
I just ordered some auxito yellows for my 08 Corolla can’t wait.
Awesome! I’m still loving these
This is recommended or safe for Dh and free ride??
I wouldn’t “recommend “ something like this but that choice is yours. I think you will be just fine to use them, but I haven’t tested on DH yet however I have hit decent jumps and cased a few times without issues.
Hi there. Can this be used for XC race or just XC fun? Or do you guys still recommend the Syncline?
I think this is a great bike for XC race and fun
If you didn't already I'd take a look at the "SRAM DUB bottom bracket compatibility chart" they have online. Getting the correct sized spacers placed exact is important for the chainline measurement. AbsoluteBlack also makes a direct mount chainring that works with HG+ chains. I wonder how wear will be with using a Eagle chain on the Shimano HG+ cassette. Just by the landscape I think I can tell you're in FL. I'm also in FL. I'm riding with a group at Alafia on new years day.
Thanks for the info! I was able to find and ordered the wolf tooth chainring so I may slap that back on to keep things in order with the HG+. Yeah I’m in FL I’m currently out of state but it would be cool to link up for a ride someday. Love Alafia I still haven’t been to balm yet
@ no problem man. If you ever ride Santos or Mt Dora message me, those are my local areas. I have yet to do Balm too.
@ if you’re on insta shoot me a DM. Want to check out the new trail at Dora soon
@@rywanders Will do! I’ve ridden the new addition. The drop is fun, thought it would be bigger.
2023 ripmo slx or 2024 ripley deore. if you had to pick, and why. best overall both at same $$.
This greatly depends on where and what your riding. If you hucking big drops and jumps on descents I’d go ripmo. If you’re ripping single track and want something poppy and playful I’d go Ripley . The Ripley can handle most, but if you’re sending it big the extra travel of the ripmo will be helpful.
@@rywanders mostly single track. 90% of the time for now. beginner here and first FS. but having extra travel wouldnt hurt. since in on the bigger side at 225lbs i think more travel would help aid that. i think???
@ not necessarily since it will be an adjustment in psi . The new Ripley has a bit more travel as well. Can’t really go wrong either way, but if it were me I’m going Ripley. I send mine over big jumps just fine too.
I also watch jeff weedman. Now im on the fence with 2023 ripmo (slx) or the orbea occam H20LT If they were the same price. Overall best bang for the buck and do it all bike. Since ripmo is a coil fork & bomber air Vs the 36 fox performance and float x in the rear. I tbink the LT has better components overall. From drivetrains, shocks N wheels 🤷♂️🤷♂️ this will be my first FS. So im super torn rn which 1 to get 😪😪
I think you will be happy with either choice. The orbea definitely peaked my interest. What holds me close to ibis is the dw link , but I’ve never riden an orbea and I trust Jeff’s knowledge and experience. He didn’t steer me wrong with the Ripley.
Scrap I bent it
Oof. Curious minds want to know how
With a rock close to the pedal. Bent like butter (about 5mm)
I just picked up an Ibis Ripley AF 2023 Deore.. so cool to see this cause I was looking at this crankset. As far as mixing shimano / sram stuff it's only a nono if it doesn't work. Run whatever you like. I hate cookie cutter bikes. I might have to go for these-- I think my grandpa riding style wont break them anytime soon
The Ripley is an amazing bike you’ll love it. So far these are doing just fine . I cased a few jumps pretty hard and had no issues. I agree make the bike how you want as long as it functions who cares!
Ali link does not work, Dec 28th
Thanks! I just applied for affiliate with them and I’ll add the new link soon. Much appreciated
why not just run a 165 Shimano crank arm?
Cheaper, and better looking. This is an experiment as well.
@@rywanders got it. you can build a SLX crank arm and ring for under $90 and know it will work right away
@ correct not a bad deal if all your going for is shorter cranks and don’t care for the 5DEV look. Better then going through this struggle for sure lol, but these look amazing and do feel a bit lighter then the standard slx cranks.
I know this project is all together, but for my 2 cents: my favorite drivetrain setup is shimano derailleur and shifter, I sram cassette, sram crank/chainring on 3rd party crank, and sram chain. I tend to get more miles out of the sram chain and cassette and better shifting out of the shimano shifter and derailleur. I've been running sram t-type on my new bike and I'm going to be pulling off for that same setup because it just works so well.
I’ve heard of this before and may give it a try on a future build
Sram dub bottom brackets usually come with a wavy metal thing. You put it between cranks and a frame, and it removes any play your bb can develop.
Wavy washer is only used in press fit BB version only.
@@SPECIALIZED95711 didn't know that.
The cone cam was an awesome idea!
Wow crazy price. Want to see how they hold up
And that backside flip I saw a lot of toe touch
😆
Great videos
I was looking at the same exact cranks!! They do look great! But I was in a hurry when I built my bike so didn't want to wait 2-3wks. Instead I went with TRP evo in 165. I do love them. But I think I will try these clones next time I need cranks. Thanks for showing them🤙🏻
Yeah the wait time kinda sucks, but I think they are worth it for the price. I bet 5DEVs are the same just at a ridiculous mark up.
Where can I get this lift kit front
It’s not a kit.. built into the vehicle
@ how do I get this done to my Amazon
I purchased two 9006 LEDs from A***** one pair was newer technology and brighter. But the locking rings on each bulb was different!! Like a 9006 should be a 9006 on the locking ring and other dimensions. One of the 9006 LED did have a lock ring that matched a OEM halogen 9006 bulb. Can't believe that the spec for the bulb lock ring does not have the exact orientation for the bulb in the locked position. But I guess in older vehicles, pre-LED era, designers just assumed that every bulb would radiate light evenly over 360-degrees.
I went to my lbs a few days ago to look at a Ripmo AF, sick bike for 2700 but ended up with a Tallboy. I’m riding Colorado front range trails mostly, super chunky but honestly I think the Ripley AF or Tallboy type bike is plenty even for here. For east coast trail riding no doubt the 120mm travel bikes with modern geometry are the way to go. Enjoy your Ripley!
Agreed! I absolutely love this bike! Would love to test out a tallboy though
Excellent thanks, mine comes on and takes a while to turn it off, so I'm going to try a new switch 👌🇺🇲
Hope this works!
Poor design to put a sensor there to tell people washer fluid is low. What guy needs this.
I mean it’s nice if it works, but yes not needed
Light is gone. Don't even bother just cut the wire. Real drivers don't need sensors to tell them anything.
If you're still having trouble with the small size fitting comfortably, I noticed the rear ratcheting mechanism is not set to the lowest/largest setting mounted inside the helmet. There is a red mounting strip located inside on the back of the helmet, with multiple mounting options. Carefully pull on the black tab that connects to the red mounting strip, it will pop out and you can then remount the tabs in the lowest position giving you slightly more headspace with an overall better fit. I have the exact same helmet with similar issues and this worked perfect for me, hope this helps.
Legend! Thank you for sharing this!

Really!? Aw man I had no idea I was actually planning to go back soon …

Dude honestly great video. I was greasing my 06 tundra which is basically the same driveshaft and engineand was wondering if I overfilled the yoke. I had no noise or anything just maintenance, but I ended up unscrewing where you fill it up and jumped up and down the truck to get excess out. Have you had any other issues
Thank you! I had no issues while I had the cruiser. Yes if you ever feel as though you overfilled unscrewing the zerk will release some grease. Unfortunately I sold the cruiser 😞. Hope to build up another truck in the future
I know this is kinda old, but I almost bought them. Thanks for the heads up!!
Absolutely! Go check out Auxito www.auxito.com/?ref=JTO
My only concern for my truck is its stock tires
Yeah depending on what you have. Tires make a big difference
@@rywanders just the stock 17s that came on a 4Runner Offroad. Still trying to find some good tires that don't require a lift or rub lol
@ yeah if you go any bigger you will most likely need a lift. Stay at the same size and go with the wild peaks or open country
@@rywanders thank you!
I got a different through axle mine don't have that lock side on the right hand side it says it's supposed to come with a lock bolt but I never got one Am I okay to ride without it I mean the through axle tightens all the way?
As long as it’s tight and secure. You wouldn’t want it falling out. You may have gotten a traditional one which is just fine.
New Orleans?
Cuba or england
My wife bought these for 2004 Toyota Sienna which the company says they are compatible with that make and model but when I go to install them they don't fit into the housing.. the teeth look like they line up but they just won't go in no matter what I do.
Yeah these are a no go! Check out Auxito they have been great for me. www.auxito.com/?ref=JTO
It does sound a little quieter with the new oil, but that may be because it's fresh and not sheared down or diluted with contaminants.
Yeah I’m thinking the same. Also could be why it’s running more smoothly.
If you're meticulous, choose a reputable store/seller, read reviews, and make sure it's relatively futureproof - you can get some good, lightweight, long-lasting stuff from there on a discount!

What kind of car are you? How does the MOTUL oil feel when you use it?
I like to think of myself as a nice Subaru STI blob eye. As for the oil it feels like oil but the engine does seem to run quite smooth with the Motul and a bit quieter.
