I envy you being an authentic Hong Kong borne. I went to HK when I was 2 or 3 years old in the early 50s and lived my entire childhood on HK side, even after my return from the US, I still basically worked & lived on HK side. I emigrated to Canada in 1995, Looking at these old photos, I found HK was such an interesting city; I wished I had not come to Canada, a 2nd class outdated corrupted & racism country offers less freedom but useless overweening hypocrisy laws. I wished I had lived my entire life in Hong Kong to enjoy its real freedom! I am sure the British colonial era was the best Hong Kong ever had and I love the RHKP after the 80s till the turnover! After 50 years, I still remember the first woman I had fell for who used to lived in TaiPo. The friendship was short lived and I wished we got married so that I would have settled down in Hong Kong for good. So, enjoy & love your Hong Kong!

20世紀50年代起新市鎮開發令不少地區都出現城市蠶食化： 不少伝統農業均消失殆盡，香港市區工業化，山寨廠的興建（例如：柴灣徙置工廠大廈）令第一產業 （農業社會）演化為第二產業（工業化，將來趨向城市化進程），再增值至第三產業（城鎮及商業發展為主） 土地混合利用及城鄉差別化的土地衝突屢見不鮮： 農業荒廢，真希望沙頭角（當地尚有伝統農業、鄉鎮村屋）不要發展潛力（只要伝統的 農業 主給自足便足夠了）！ （有完善的教育制度、公路或鉄路便足夠了！） 或發展可再生能源發電系統便足夠了（如風能及太陽能等）：
