Good job City fans couldn't see the first goal - did the defender take a wild swing and slice into his own net from 10 yards? Even Gosport looked shocked. Couldn't even see how Gosport got their penalty. A bit of a disaster for City but they march on.

It should be pointed out that Wimborne had their fair share of injured players out - Lovell, Beale, Scorey, Biss. Baker, Morgan plus Ecott-Brown injured after a few minutes of the start. So didnt the Reserves do well !

Poor finishing wasn't Hendon's fault, but the home side did hit the post and were unlucky not to get a third. Study how Hungerford play, because unlike Winchester, they can play in forwards who are making runs out wide behind defenders. Only difference, was that they play with little pace and look for precise passes. Hendon play with individual flair, and didnt the sub do well to either score or set up the second. Wincester sometimes overplayed in possession, and seemed confused as to who to pass it to. Your goal came from a cross, after beating a defender down the by-line. Too late then. Winchester were the better team; had more possession and far more shots on goal. Quite a few Hendon players weren't on their game, but they've worked hard all season and achieved far more than was thought possible. Winchester have great fans too.

Your team threw the points away, albeit with some brilliant individual pieces of last ditch defending and great saves, keeping other chances out. Winchester chose to go down inside box once, when only keeper to beat, plus take long shots instead of playing the ball behind defenders, through to unmarked forwards on the wings. Also hit post late on, with only keeper to beat. Hendon have a small squad, played over 40 games, enjoyed tough runs in 3 cups, but managed to stay up. Those players deserve rest of season off, but did score two very good goals. Also hit the post from distance. Hendon won, because they had a little luck, some brave defending, but far better forwards. Also, a better keeper. Lastly, your forwards played like novices. They kept running offside. It appeared they hadn't played together much.
