Invite your horse into the “human element” by asking!
If we understand that the sacred art of horsemanship is the set apart practice of self study through developing a relationship with a horse, then we begin self mastery!
Present to the horse what you expect from the horse.
Present to the world what you expect from the world.
Ask the horse questions with pressure, give you feedback, release pressure as a thank you, be willing to make necessary changes, and present again for desirable results for both of you- life enrichment.
Sacred art of horsemanship- self study, self discovery, self mastery!

How to Overcome FEAR in horsemanship with body awareness!
มุมมอง 1.1Kวันที่ผ่านมา
Body awareness is probably the most important skill to develop in horsemanship. Everything you do is an input of information for your horse. If you are not aware of your body, you should be, because your horse is. Horses are not under our "control" but we can develop willingness in them to want to do things with us, and it begins with communication. What I present to the horse, I can expect fro...

I used to spend tons of time grooming my horse. It was my happy place. It always felt nice to spend quiet time with them. It was just something I was drawn to do every day. I was taught to keep them clean from taking lessons, but it's important to check them over every day too.

Really articulate this guy, and he's talking about what he knows through personal experience. Horses are cool. And I use spurs and a whip, I'm not a zealot, just understand it is a relationship, horses have a different society, relate differently, and respond differently than humans; it's helpful to understand and work within that knowledge if you want to get good at it.

I’m working everyday toward my unreachable goal to see that happen. As I wrote in my book “A Horse to Guide Me” we have to have a purpose, flexible plan, and take action. I’m fine with being part of a root system to a tree I’ll never see bare fruit. But, maybe my grandchildren will! Shout out to (Raelynn and Wrenlynn). Hopefully when they are my age, the minds, and hearts of people will have changed, so the behaviors change. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with me! Thank you! So many times in horsemanship and in life, people are conditioned to give everything a value judgment as "good or bad". By changing the way we think and describe a situation helps to expand our consciousness. The choice becomes the way! I choose to release judgement, and accept love. And the horses really respond well to love. We came to earth to learn love, how to love, and how to be loved. Horses are awesome at helping us practice! Thanks for watching me practice what I came to learn.

@@davidoliver9395 I have an interactive system called Five Part Series. I’ll ask any and every horse a series of five questions to get a deeper understanding of the horse and the horse gets a deeper understanding of me. I will find out everything about the horse, such as proper pressures to ask questions, proper timing, rhythm, and create willingness in the horse to want to be with me, never against me. The horse will always open and allow energy (information) to flow between us. Once we can trade energy, we can create the relationship we both want. I rarely have any horses present resistance, and if so, it’s not very much or very long. The horses abide in laws of nature, and once they figure out I do to, they’ll willingly comply, as it’s of benefit to them. Tough to explain in a comment, and the videos are usually boring as the horses don’t do anything radical. No reason to buck, bolt, bite, buck, as I’ll free all restrictions in their minds, and tensions in their bodies, and harmonize with them. No forced compliance, as that creates the restrictions/tensions.

This is my first time watching your videos and very enjoyable. How many rides has your mare had? Her age and length of time you have been working with her?

I am working toward getting into the same situation your in, but I'm having a hard time seeing myself being able to afford property to keep horses. Working through the book. Blessings.

I use my treeless saddle all the time. It's light. I can lift it and hold it on just my fingers. 😁

What brand do you use? I’ve been curious about a treeless saddle.

So true souls meeting horse soul becomes one with your soul. When I go to the barn up set and not relaxed the horse and horses know I’m up set. The busyness of the world But when I’m in that state of mind the horse can change everything. It’s how we work on ourself and the can do that for us However t by e horse knows before you know. It’s a beautiful gift once we receive it. It’s not overnight your heart has to be there it can come a go. 👍✌️❤️🐴
