Probably shouldn't sexualise the whole show

With the language, you do realize you’re watching a faith based show right? Does every word have to be profane? Loved the women’s reactions cause they shut up for more than 10 seconds.

No offense, but are your friends even from this planet ?

I don’t understand people who cannot watch a movie without talking over the dialog. They miss important info that might actually answer their questions.

This was an interesting watch. Appreciative that they all were willing to participate in this. A lot of people in the comments critiquing/complaining about them talking too much, thus contributing to their confusion. But as someone who has read the Gospels, I too was confused by a lot of the scenes. Partially because of how much it jumps around, and probably largely due to the "creative freedom" that they took in making this. Although there are some good moments in the series, I still don't know how to feel about it. I don't know how I should feel about them taking "creative freedom". And there are at least a couple of things that are very theologically questionable regarding what they chose to put in the show.

These chatty catties are IRRITATING. I can't watch. They are missing the dialog then asking what's happening. I love the show, but not here.

This was quite the feat. Thank you for it!! I've been trying to see people react to this show since I first saw it during quarantine. If you could do a part 2, or even more, God be with you, my guy. But I'd love to see it!

I also feel like it is interesting to see Rome thru this show - theres this weird stereotype of conservative men thinking of Rome everyday or some crap - and that society is about to spiral in the west like Rome did - but seeing them in this way - controlling these religious people so often - controlling the entire region - WHILE the Pharoisse over-complicate the lives of the same people Rome is controlling - really show you that both sides were just as overbearing as the other - they BOTH sacrificed animals to their various Gods - and murder people whenever they felt it appropriate (either when they question Romes' authority, or spit at a stupid man-made law - made by the Pharoisse, that they saw as sacred).

theres something special - when characters you knew were real, from the bible - actually come to life in a way that yes, us gen z can relate to in a real way I think lol. ✝

best show ive ever watched? Id just seen clips of it for so long - and never knew it was ALSO on HULU! and then - their season 4 is on their own site - I PRAY they instead put ads on their website, and upload seasons 5-7 on their site too, but idk what their plans are for that. I usually just rewatch all the same shows - so its been lovely to take a chance on this show, and be open to Jesus more and more, and see the bible come to life in this way ✝

I wish you would have shown them all episodes this is so beautiful watching different people from all walks of life experience this life changing show.

I would not mind watching more reactions of the Chosen. It is a good series for nonbelievers and believers alike. I watched it all through 4 seasons recently and I dig it. I am not christian, but I related to lots of it. Some of them probababyl continued watching it, so even if you do not share more, it might be enough .). Btw Nicodemus in first series was my favourite character. He was so relatable. So was Simon and Matthew. Take care. Peace.-

I binge watched this show for the first two season and began rationing on the third and completed watching the 3 season a couple months ago which is all that was available prime. Lol I saw this reaction video of the first eposode so I appreciated those that were vocal during the viewing just as much as those who watched in silence. I can they had no idea what they are getting themselve into so I get that they were under the influence which is difficult to not be social and Im alright with that because I like hearing their live perspective making the first episode fun to watch again. I was surprised by Justin's commentary the most because I thought he was going to be dismissive of the show the most but he turned out to the most interested in watching another eposode along with the lady that wept. He seemed like a genuine person and sad to know he passed away shortly after filming, may he rest in peace. I love all the other friends' reaction too. I cant wait to watch season 4. You dont have to believe in God to enjoy this show but watching the show could help brkng the understanding of the people who believe much more than in the religion itself which many atheist know alot about. I just like how Jesus teaches us to love your enemies. I feel humbled and aware that I cant know everything but we can love each other better once we all see each other equally if we just learn to quit judging others.

I’m sorry for your friend Mr. Collins. He seemed to be very open to the show. This show has changed so many people’s lives and I hope it did something good for him before he passed. I don’t try to assume anything but from the little context I got from his parts in this video it seemed he had a hard life. His smile and openness of joy in this little bit I saw of him seems to point that he would have watched more and I hope he did. It would have worked wonders and he would have a huge testimony. May you rest peacefully brother.

Mary wasn't his lover. People think that because she was a woman and to be honest, we all want a romantic spend to stories. The Bible says a few things about her. She has like 7 demons. And He removed them. Which is crazy powerful when you think of it. She didn't have one demon. She has several. If we replace demons with a mental disorder or trauma or vice then it is easier to understand how big of a deal it was that he healed her..

This was great. I liked the guy in the North Face jacket. Dallas said that he is trying to get people to feel the story. To relate it to our lives. It is funny that he saw people he knew in the characters because a lot of us did. I really hope you all watch more. It is on the fourth season.

The arrival of jesus in this episode is so epic and I love the fact that they choose to keep him out of every episode of the first season until right toward the end of the episode. I think that he has his first major role in an episode in episode 4 or 5. But before that he just shows up to do grand things right at the end and it's always emotionally a punch right in the gut in the best and the worst of ways. The sound design and score for the show is the best I have ever come across. That deep bass when jesus's hand comes down on hers is all the verification you need to know that the big guy just arrived. And I'm not talking about that cheater Biden.
