Man Overboard is a fascinating tale of identical twins who are seaman and how the ghost of one haunts his brother. The Screaming Skull is a very spooky story. Many hours of listening pleasure! I especially enjoyed By the Waters of Paradise.

Infamous, sensational and controversial. I read this novel in another translation several years ago as well as EnRoute, The Cathedral, The Oblate, and Against Nature. In this work I especially like the story within the story that Durtel is writing. I find Huysmans' life and works fascinating and his commentaries on art and religion interesting to investigate.
