These kind of incidents give me a reality check, that I shouldn’t not “idolise” idols and view them as a perfect because they are still humans with feelings and when they go weeks with almost no food and heavy exercises obviously they’re going to faint. It just breaks my heart. As much as I want to listen to their music and watch their music videos I can’t forget the things that happen when the cameras are off. They work so hard and I want to support them but the pressure and their suffering will always be there no matter how big and famous the group or idol is. I just hope in the future people will understand that idols are just humans who fall in love, can gain weight (and still be healthy) and want to live life to the fullest.

It's so bizarre to me that fans scream excitedly and clap during these events. Especially when they faint right in front of them they act like it's the most exciting events of their Iives. Edit: some even laugh!? Wow. Disgusting.

I just hate how they over work them. They make them feel like they aren’t good enough. They don’t seem happy & seem overwhelmed.

This is simply sad, and this still happens. The whole idol culture seems so toxic and unhealthy, they all seem scared and distressed. The fans only make it 100x worse because they body shame and insult them every time something goes wrong. I've even seen a couple comments under this video blaming them because it's unprofessional. True, fainting on stage is very unprofessional. But do you really think that they have any power over that? The problem is that they're clearly very unhealthy, I hope that eventually this whole toxic culture is overturned and the entertainment industry as a whole becomes more normal.

i honestly dont know how anyone can support the idol industry seeing how this stuff happens. when you support an idol you're not just supporting them as a person, you're supporting what they advertise/stand for, which is their company. correct me if im wrong, but most kpop companies are notorious for overworking their idols for their own gain and thats disgusting.

Fainting from starvation is a very uncomfortable feeling. Everything fades, you want to throw up and you don’t have energy to move your body. You shut down completely. Imagine doing that in front of hundreds of thousands of ppl. Your brain is trying to tell your body to keep going but your body needs food to do so. On seeing this video to be honest I totally lost my interest in k pop within 11 min and 56 sec its too painful to see this kind of harassment and these idols risking their life for money and fame after all at the end of the day being alive is the most important thing and there is no limit for money and greedyness

I know what it’s like to faint from malnutrition. It’s scary. This happened to me at school when I was walking. I was 5’8 and weighed 109 pds. I remember everything in my mind just blanked out and I saw how I fell against the white gate. I dont know how to explain the feeling but it feels like suddenly your thoughts dissapear and you feel weighless and you forget how to breathe. I feel for this idols.. I hope everything gets better for them healthwise..

Idols are starved, body shamed, overworked and ridiculed by the public/blog posts. It kills me to see idols suffering under such harsh conditions. I hope one day the kpop industry completely revitalizes itself into something that actually cares about the health of these idols

I think the reason for some of these is because a lot of kpop idols have strict diets. For example, I'm pretty sure some female kpop group only have 1 meal per day? I don't know about the male diets though. Also, there's one idol where you can see her whole ass ribcage because she's so skinny?
