@@JagoAlessi. Steve Vai is 60 too. And he keeps practicing and playing well. Sure he plays better than me but this is not the point! My ears are bleeding listening to him now.
@@Francesco-is6pu In a style like Yngwie's it is really difficult to keep up. Vai's style is a lot easier in the technical aspect.
@@JagoAlessi. Sorry but I don't agree. Vai would play alteranate picking stuff way better than Yngwie now. And Paul Gilbert and many others. And I'm speaking as a big Yjm fan.
@@Francesco-is6pu Right. But back in the day, Yngwie was the king of alternate picking. And he's still pretty decent at economy today. Vai's alternate picking stuff is not as technically demanding as the old and even some new Yngwie stuff. For instance, try playing some of the licks from "Parabellum". That alternate picking stuff is hard. Can't see the same about Vai's most "recent" material. The thing is that Steve already knows he's old, he can't play technically demanding stuff as he used to. So he lowered the level to compensate for that. Yngwie refuses to lower his performance proficiency. But he's having a hard time keeping up with that.
