What is requirements variability
Hello, I have requirement diagram in cameo and my requirements also have parameters such as "........... shall be higher than Temperature_Level". So I want to change Temperature_Level parameter according to selected variant. Is it possible?
Yes, you can do that by adding a primitive property variation point to the requirement element and select the property "Text" as "Property Name". Instead of just writing an attribute value into "Text" you can also embed the value inside a longer requirements text. I have a few questions regarding variant requirements generation. Could you please clarify me? 1) Are The requirements IDs in the variant specification the same as the master specification or different? 2) Is there any way to represent traceability from Master specification to variant specification? 3) Is it possible to make changes in variant specification? 4) If yes, does it have an impact on Master specification?
The answer to your questions depends on the transformation mode that you choose. If you go with a stream transformation, then the IDs of your requirements will be same, you have traceability regarding which variant specific stream was generated from which 150% baseline and it is possible to make changes in the variant specification independently from the master specification.
