So many thanks for this!
I think the Pellon Wash and Gone will be my top choice to use for wool felt. I love the idea! I did not even know that Pellon made such a nifty thing for embroidering onto felt or other heavy fabric. This should simplify what I thought was going to be a challenging project. I do like the Press n Seal paper too, but to reduce the risk of damaging the stitches, the Pellon would work best. Thank you for this very informative video.😊
So nice to find your helpful videos. Thinking about Sue Spargo's 2025 BOM and need help with left-handed stitches. Cannot find a good resource for left-handed stitchers but did find your site, thank goodness.
I'm so glad you enjoyed them. I've done many Sue Spargo designs. They were so much fun. I would tell you to register for the 2025 BOM. It will teach you so much. Cheers!
Where is part 2 please
Ohh that’s so pretty
Love your channel love your videos. They’re just absolutely perfect. Thank you so much for sharing. I do have one question do you ever use a hoop when working with wool
Thank you! Very helpful 😊
I just found your post and it’s very helpful. I am getting into wool appliqué.
very helpful, thank you!
Thank you! This is an excellent video.
You do a wonderful job explaining the stitches on your videos! Thank you!
I love your tutorial of this raised cup stitch. You explain and do each step in a manner so I can grasp it easily.
It’s so nice to see this done with your left hand. Thank you.
Thank you! I am working on others.
So many ideas running through my head now! Thanks for a wonderful video!
I think the tulle will save my project, thank you.
This might help
I hope so.
Thanks so much! NOW I get it!
I am so glad to help!
Thank you! Your calm voice encouraged me to keep stitching along!
Thank you for the kind words!
GOOD LORD I APPRECIATE YOUR WORK! WITH AN ENLARGEMENT! KUDOS
I plan on making more tutorials. Thank you.
Beth, do I prepare just the bird, or the bird, leaves, flowers, etc.? Thanks.
When you get your kit, there will be more info for you. You will prepare the background, and the bird and other applique elements. If you are not sure how to do it, please let me know and I will help. Having the applique stitched down will allow you to stitch the embroidery part in class.
Definitely need to remember to cut a bit more for tucking.
explained................Great...............
That’s beautiful ❤
Thank you for posting these stitch videos with close up step by step focus
I am glad it was helpful. Thank you for commenting.
Thank you
I was really hoping to see the bug from the thumbnail. Good tutorial, though.
Instructions to make that bug will be in my upcoming bug book. If you are on instagram, you can see all the bugs that I've been making.
I made the wife a 'light box', empty wine carton, plexiglass large enough to cover top & stay, small lamp. Plact lamp inside box, cut hole for cord, plug it in, lay pattern on top of plexiglass and freezer paper on top of pattern. Use ruler to keep lines straight. A little more prep work, useful when a printer is not in the picture. Put on some music and enjoy the process, she does
I didn’t know this stitch. It’s lovely.
Thank you for watching.
Thank you so much for showing us the trellis stitch. Love the way you added the new thread great tip. Xx
Thank you for watching.
Thank you! Clear, concise and to the point. This is the perfect kind of tutorial!
Explained well, thank you
Hermoso
Spot on tutorial! Thank you.
Hope you enjoy making lots of Trellis Stitches.
Thank you for this video, I just starting the Tinselbom and it’s nice to know exactly how and what to do. I appreciate this video so much!
Hi, to appliqué the wool pieces in place is that blanket stitch? The book just says appliqué in place then chain stitch on the background, nothing about blanket stitch.
Correct, no blanket stitching in Sue Spargo designs. You will use wool thread in a matching color to whipstitch your pieces in place first. Then, following the instructions, you will embroidery the applique according to the stitches she’s given. Hope that helps. If you have anymore questions, please let me know.
Thank you!!! Great tutorial 👍
Oh my goodness! As a leftie, I am always ‘translating’ every sewing/embroidery video I watch, and it is a treat to view a blanket stitch tutorial made specifically for us. This video was SO useful! Thanks!
Thank you!
Does it matter if you go the other way for right handed people
Hi Sue, it doesn’t matter which direction you stitch. Thank you for watching my video.
Grazie molte per I tuoi insegnamenti. ❤
Thank you, so helpful.
Helpful since I am left handed. 😊
Such a lovely stitch and tutorial 🥰 thank you
Gorgeous! Just what im looking for. Do you sell these multi thread packages?
This video was made two years ago. You can go to our website and choose all the colors from there.
@@westcoastwool thank you so much for your reply. Will check out the beautiful selection
I think I can do this! Thanks for the easy to follow instructions.
Yes, you can do it! Thank you for watching!
Just an add on - I have appliquéd for years, connecting with Sue Spurge and wool appliqué in early 2000's. I have never found pins as good as the Karen Kay Buckley 'Perfect Pins' both sizes... most of my cotton appliqué is with batik fabrics - the pins are wonderful! They bend fairly easy - like curve, but they are easy to bend back. I'm about 5 years in and I've only had to throw a couple out due to burrs. I also use the Fiskars scissors - mostly because if I fly they can come with me and also because I don't mind cutting freezer paper with them.
Donde puedo comprar el libro
Did you purchase the 16 or 24 oz mallet at Ace Hardware?
Is your mallet steel head/fiberglass handle? I can't find a fiberglass head mallet. Can I use my kitchen (white) cutting board for cutting on? What brand is your punch set? I couldn't find one on your website. Thank you!
You can purchase the punches and mat at Sue Spargo Folk Art Quilts. Do not buy them from Amazon. They are not the same quality. No, you cannot use your kitchen mat. You will ruin your punches. I bought my mallet from Ace Hardware. I am not sure but I don’t think it is a steal head. I would have to look at it. Hope that helps you. Cheers!
Muchas gracias por compartir sus conocimientos, pero por favor para mejor ayuda. Traducción al español. Muchas gracias y abrazos
Very good tutorial. I can't wait to go get some thread to start. Thank you.
