***Additional instructions: When I installed this bull bar the first time, I attached the brackets to the bull bar and then tried to attach the entire setup to my car. This was difficult and also limited the space I had to screw in the bolts for the brackets.
It is MUCH easier to attach the brackets to your car FIRST then attach the bull bar to the brackets. Good Luck

1st Gen CRV (1997,1998,1999,2000,2001) center console removal/replacement/modification. I’m not handy at this stuff but hopefully this is helpful to someone.

Thank you. This is Just what I was looking for🙌🏾. I recently bought a 2003 Cr-V and other than being able to flip it down when I want to I really can’t stand it lol. I bought a large sweet tea from Chic Fil A yesterday and the damn cup wouldn’t fit🙄😆 Edit: I just realized that unlike yours (which is actually bolted to the floor) mine is attached to the passenger seat🙄. I’m still going to play around with it. Worst case scenario I’ll just buy some larger cup inserts that I found on Etsy.
I ordered the same console for my 2005 crv and im thinking to hold it with zip ties 😁😁
Drill a hole in the plastic and zip tie it to the metal seat rail is my thought

Yes, no issue at all. The only minor issue is: Its a little tight where my parking brake is.

how about installing the bracket first to the car, so you have only two bolts to install when putting the bullbar in place?Other side can lay on the floor while ure installing the first side. then just simply lift the other side to the place and insert the bolt. Thats why you have the oval holes so you can adjust the position last. But still very nice install and very helpful. Im gonna install a bullbar to my gen1 HR-V, hopefully its similar process...
You are correct, this is a much easier way to install. I had to take my bull bar off and when I reinstalled it, this is how I did it. much easier.
The bungee cord for support was super smart!

A lot sturdier attachment then the Gen 2. They reuse a bolt that goes through the subframe on the Gen 2 and only have 1 bolt per side.
