Ancient Akrotiri on Santorini
มุมมอง 2.5K4 ปีที่แล้ว
Akrotiri on Santorini is the Pompeii of Greece, an ancient town buried during a volcanic eruption. The cataclysmic eruption around 1600 BCE changed the shape of Santorini and created a huge tsunami, but somehow preserved details of the culture, art and everyday lives of its inhabitants. I visited there with friends in January 2020. A few days later I was able to see and film artefacts from Akro...

Hello Parker! We'd like to collaborate with you. Please let us know how we can get in touch with you.
what's the front filter thread size on this lens?
I sold this lens some time ago, but if I remember correctly, it was 72mm.

Lovely work done on this doco that show cases the area so well. Great to see such important groups like these highlighted. Well done 👍
Excellent
I love the men's sheds. I'm an Aussie living in South Korea. I love living here but sometimes feel a bit lonely / isolated. I wish we had them over here. Just curious: when setting up a men's shed, where do all the tools and equipment come from? Is there government funding or just community donations?
Haha... just as I wrote the question, one of the blokes answered..." a few government & local council grants."
From what I discovered while filming, they can be quite a challenge to set up. Securing a long term lease on a site can be difficult for a volunteer organisation. There are also expenses such as insurance. Often equipment is donated and sheds will apply for government or industry grants for big ticket items.
Thank you so much for sharing your love for these cute little animals. It is great to see that there people like you who devoted their time to help them.. Recently I learnt a lot about them, and bats and sloth …I had no ideas! They are part of our environment that I would like my grand children to be able to love…. And not disappear. You play a big part!
🥰

Lovely segments of wombat play in there, enjoyed the video very much, but your forced music hurt my ears to the point of rage. DO NOT FORCE MUSIC ON US. Music is wholly inappropriate in wildlife, animal, tour, or DIY videos. We are here based on video content. We did not approve the music selection. You picked the music and bundled it up as a packaged deal. If you have human voices in the video, we cannot turn off the sound. So, its the worst possible combination. DO.NOT.PLAY.MUSIC. EVER. Silence is golden. Natural sounds only. Roll the tape. Do not edit.
Stop assaulting our ears with your godawful maudlin music and play natural sounds instead. I came here to see and HEAR a wombat not your choice of putrid music!

Fantastic
Amazing grace. They teach us, don't they?
So lovely 💐
She is so insightful and articulate about the wombat. No wonder the wombat trusted her. They know. They can smell it ❤
Wombats are incredibly cuddly and cute, its hard to imagine they can become a teenage terror house wrecker :D
Most mammals needs a father as well. Most especially humans.
Precious creatures 🥰
Oh, lookit! It's a mini tank! I love wombats. They're so funny!
@Sean Bayley oh, you're so lucky! The only thing I love more than wombats are koalas, and they are closely related. When wombats run about they look like they're in a demolition derby. It's really quite hilarious! I'd love to pet one. They look so soft!
Extremely precious ♥
Awesome
An uplifting video! Thank you.
