This channel is going to be a sort of portfolio/outlet for me in regards to music. I am a church technical director with a degree in music ministry, so everything you see here will be done through that lens. I'll do three primary types of videos on here, 1-takes, full mixes, and tech highlights. I hope the content on here blesses and encourages you. Feel free to ask questions and hang out with me!
A Cheap (Wired) In-Ear Monitor Solution!
I walk you through the equipment that we use here at fellowship to get our musicians in-ear monitors in every space without breaking the bank.
This helps us to expose every ministry area that has musicians and technicians to the same tools so they can work in any of our rooms.
Here are some Amazon Affiliate Links to the equipment I mention in this video:

We're Getting Into the PreSonus Series III Ecosystem: Initial Thoughts
มุมมอง 752 ปีที่แล้ว
Our Church is getting new audio consoles! It's such an exciting time, but I wanted to take a minute and give some initial thoughts on the process of getting everything in, registering it, and getting the Firmware updated. I'll keep taking notes and try to make some more videos about our experience here as we go.
In-Ear Monitor Tutorial using X32-Q
มุมมอง 10K4 ปีที่แล้ว
A tutorial and demonstration of how to build a good in-ear monitor mix using the X32-Q app. Made at and for Fellowship Baptist Church
Tech Stuff: Console Choices
มุมมอง 165 ปีที่แล้ว
I'm going to talk about why my church is planning on switching consoles, and how we narrowed down our choices. Then I'll do some comparison between our options. See if you can figure out which system we're going to choose! We will have a demo on campus soon, at which point I will do a more in depth video about why we chose what we chose, and what really drew us to it.
1 Take: Way Maker
มุมมอง 285 ปีที่แล้ว
A 1 Take of Way Maker by Leeland. I had a lot of fun doing this song. I didn't go the full 8 minutes, but I still went 5. Praising God fills me with Joy, and I hope this blesses you.
1 Take: This is Amazing Grace
มุมมอง 145 ปีที่แล้ว
A single take of This is Amazing Grace. I elected to sing without a monitoring system for this recording, since your tools often influence your performance. I hope you enjoy.
1 Take: Glorious Day

A single take of Glorious Day. I don't typically attempt to memorize my music, but I did here. It came back to bite me. I hope you enjoy!
Any advice for getting a stereo mix out to three band members? Wired?
💕💕😍😍💗💗
Hello! Thank you for posting this video. It gave me idea what to suggest for IEM system in our church. However, I wonder if it's possible to use a Headphone extension cable instead of 1/4 inch-XLR MALE and volume attenuator elite core?
You can splain to me how I can connect all this products to the mixer
Is studiolive 32 work well on live than behringer x32?
Which wireless in ear monitoring packs are compatible with the m32 q app
Hi, thanks for the video, is this M32Q together with a Wireless belt pack
I’m trying to figure out how you get the customized mix into each headphone channel. You said the mix is controlled by phone apps, but how does that mix hookup to the headphone amp?
if you have a digital mixer, the AUX outs or sends are your individual mixes, and they are conected to every channel in the headphone amp. When using the app, you have to control the AUX os BUS outs to customize each mix.
Awesome!!!
How do you run the cables across the stage to your team without it being a mess or inconvenient? I’ve thought about going the wired route, for cost reasons, for our vocalists. Our musicians are already on IEM’s but would love to swap out those floor wedges for IEM’s for our vocalists.
I have a method of cabling the stage where I run cables horizontally across the back and then they come straight forward to where they need to land. It helps a lot just to have any method though so everything looks uniform. If your stage is carpet, using a Velcro tunnel to keep them in place looks clean and is also reusable.
Great video! Some of the gear I’ve used that has also worked well is the -Behringer P2, it’s a great personal headphone amp, kinda like the one you showed but it requires batteries. And on the cheap side as well. -Sterling Audio 8 channel headphone amp. It’s very similar to the Presonus one in the video and the Behringer one linked in the description. And also very cost efficient.
For sure, there's tons of options out there. I only recommend stuff I've used and that has been reliable for me so far.
Aaron, thank you so much for your video. It's an amazing tutorial. By the grace of God, I'm the worship leader of at my local church and I will be using your video to teach everyone how to use this app.
So would this work for all my musicians on stage? Like can they each have the app and set up their own in ear system? Or would we all be hearing the same thing? And can we plug our in ears into the phone? Could that be the in ear pack
You cannot attach your in-ears to your phone. You will need to purchase a wireless IEM system per person or use a wired solution like a headphone amp. Each bus on your console can be an individual in-ear mix. To that end, you have 12 available by default, and 16 if you ditch your effect buses.
Question, worked on setting this app up today - is pressing which bus you want in the app supposed to automatically select it on the board for adjustment? I believe when mixing in ears from the board we have to select the bus, then press the sends on fader button and then adjust the levels... It seemed like the app only worked (made the faders for different vocals and instruments move) when I had already selected the bus on the board and pressed the sends on fader button... Appreciate any thoughts
It effectively selects the bus for the user of the device, but not on the console itself. So it does not interfere with the sound guy at all.
Thank you God bless 🙏
We have used X32-q and M32-q apps for years. Recently we have noticed that our Bus Master no longer works. Has anyone else had this issue?
We haven't had that issue within our apps, no.
@@aaronadams1630 I figured it out. When I, I mean someone, redid our board for outdoors I changed our bus sends to pre fader...Thanks for the great video. I have used this app forever and somehow had forgotten about the quick access channels!
Thansk.
I use the M32-Q app. It used to work fine. I’ve noticed it currently doesn’t show the channel names anymore (this started about 6 months ago). Shall I start using THIS app in the video instead?
This is the app for the X32, I imagine they would both work just as well. On iOS the app is called XM32-Q and is more universal. I would double check that your app and console are both updated. Ours was on the latest firmware when I made this video.
@@aaronadams1630 Thanks for responding. I meant that I used to use the M32-Q app for my X32. I’m thinking of moving to this app that you mention on this video. Maybe it’ll help me with the problem that I previously mentioned.
Nice walkthrough ;)
