Knysna MTB Trails The Phantom Singletrack - We Need to Ride this trail more often!
This video was only supposed to be 5 minutes long. After uploading it I almost deleted it, but I decided to share my thoughts anyway.
The Phantom Singletracks is a bit of a loner and it's not part of a trail network with many trails around it. It is one of those trails that doesn't get the amount of traffic it deserves so you never know what the condition of the trail will be like. Maybe I am just a bit dramatic, but we all need to ride trails like these more and help keep the trails clear and share the status with others. It is a bit frustrating when you go to ride a trail and you have to stop every 100m to clear the trail. If we all ride it more we can all have a better experience. If every rider removes
If you are watching this video, ride this trail more often, it's plenty fun. The next time you ride up Phantom Pass consider using this trail to go down, clear any fallen branches or trees if you can, and share your experience and the condition of the trail using apps like Trailforks.
Thanks for watching.

EPIC SOLO MOUNTAIN BIKING! - Old Cradock Pass in the Outeniqua Mountains
มุมมอง 2255 หลายเดือนก่อน
This was my first time down this epic trail in the Outeniqua Mountains above George. This is true mountain biking for me, hiking up the mountain and then riding down it. It is about 30 minutes of descending but I cut out a lot of the footage. Can't wait for the next time...the Mountains are calling.
RIDING THE BEST TRAIL IN THE CEDERBERG : A Mountain Biker's Dream
มุมมอง 1885 หลายเดือนก่อน
The Old Plantation Trail - 01/07/2024 On a previous visit to the Cederberg I rode the Wolfberg Trail and I really wanted to ride it again. This time I really wanted to get some video of the Wolfberg Trail and was disappointed to see that horses trampled the trail and that all the nice parts of the trail had been smoothed out during prior maintenance. Fortunately, this trail is much better and I...
Some MUST RIDE trails in Knysna and Plettenberg Bay
มุมมอง 1527 หลายเดือนก่อน
Just some clips on some of my "favorite" local trails in the area. I am busy building a new trail here in Knysna and might make a short video of the progress. The build came and started at a perfect time as my rear hub failed and my wheel is in for a complete rebuild, so no riding for now. Super keen to get back on the bike. The links to the trails are down below. The Joker: www.trailforks.com/...
EXPLORING THE BEAUTIFUL HARKERVILLE RED ROUTE - Garden Route National Park MTB
มุมมอง 2208 หลายเดือนก่อน
The Harkerville Red Route - 13 April 2024 What is up people, This was our first time riding the Harkerville Red Route. I tried to show as much of the route and trails as possible without making the video to long, but it ended up being very long anyway. I carried 2 GoPro batteries with me, and my last battery literally died as I reached the gate at the end. This is a raw style video, with no voi...
MTO Mountain Bike Trails - The Mineshaft at MTO Kranshoek, aka Cairnbrogie
มุมมอง 1488 หลายเดือนก่อน
A slow but fun lap down the Mineshaft at the MTO Kranshoek trails. This was my first time riding these trails after a wrist injury in late January, and then I messed it up again in March! There are 3 different options on the first half of the trail to suit riders of all skill levels. The tables are quite small so watch your speed, because they are easy to overshoot when the trail is running fas...
Cederberg MTB - Mount Ceder / Rockjumper Trail
มุมมอง 989 หลายเดือนก่อน
While on honeymoon we stayed at Mount Ceder for 3 nights. It was really an awesome stay and very relaxing and we had some time to get some biking done. This trail is called Rockjumper and follows the contour along the foot of the mountain. Nothing really technical and all in natural terrain. The trail is definitely worth doing and I was surprised at how much fun I actually had on such a mellow ...

Is it a technical trail?
@GriffenBotha depends how fast your going.😅
Was thinking of trying it out any trail suggestions?

Hello kaasman, how tall are the jumps in the trial?
Hey man. Not very tall. They are more like drops actually.
Please post am update video and also put your gopro in some cool spots on timelapse for some sick building videos. Would love to go riding when me and my mate are back in Knysna!
Hey man. Thanks for the comment. We had some heavy rain over the last week, so the trail is looking pretty sad. I am planning to make a video about the build. Will be going up there tommorow morning.
@@KnysnaMTBer haha no problem man I’m still overseas until like mid July so no rush! Keen to get back and ride again but I’m not as good as I used to be. Haven’t been riding in like 7 years and only recently got a bike again😅
