It's called a hammer on
Instead of just holding the string down with your left and then picking the note w your right, you just tap the string hard enough with the left and the note rings out, or you can tap with both hands like he is. Eddie van Halen is famous for doing it a lot and Layla by Eric Clapton is an iconic riff that uses it

@@joeyshredz_1 Cannibal Corpse is my favorite death band but I grew out of death metal a while ago. At 40, I enjoy fun things a lot more than edgy stuff. Not a dis, just something to look out for. Taste can change over time. \m/

As a metal head/metal musician, I think “metal” style looking instruments are honestly mostly boring. I get more intrigued by “pretty” instruments that stand out, but are super versatile. Dont get me wrong, some metal guitars are beautiful, but a lot seem to be bs marketing lol When I was younger and a major early 2000’s edge lord I was into them. As I get older, I like more artistic looking but still quality instruments. The contrast of heavy metal with what’s basically playable art pieces just does something for me.
