An easy way to avoid that is to look at the minimap on the top right of the screen Also regularly check the map, you don't really have to look behind you if you are going fast, those not visible in the minimap shouldn't have missles who can catch up to you flying straight(might only apply to MiG-23MLs) You only have to look out for people flying towards you or following you on the minimap, these people are the ones in a position to shoot you Sometimes when you are concentrated on shooting someone, drop flares to make you a less appealing target Also, fly low, unless you want to eat a R-24R

Fly lower , keep energy(speed) and pay attention to surroundings

One tip, don't use the "follow" button on the enemy plane, try to aim on your own, I learned this with rank II pistons and then went to realistic... I suppose you should try it too

Yeah… stay in arcade…. Everything about that was wrong… 1) get lead before you try shooting 2) pull sideways with a small bit of upwards lean while pulling 3) you have more options in the first place. If ur less maneuverable or have less energy, just don’t go for a dogfight and instead switch targets You didn’t get gaijined like the tags say… you were just kinda bad.

Ok if i can give you some advice i would swap the target track keybind to the zoom camera as its much easier to see. And you do know to aim for the little circle yes?

If you're flying straight on or from a lower angle, u want to aim just above them the distance will vary depending on your angle. If they're below you or flying down aim just underneath. Ideally you want gravity and momentum to let them fly into the bullets.
