he's better than me of jigging but I'm only nine and I'm actually the best in my group the group name is Megan Bramley Memorial steppers in Canada here like there's going to be a Maple festival thing going on and I'm going to be in it I'm going to be jigging for it

I watch a lot of videos, I really enjoy them. Why do some dance in their bathroom slippers at times? I was a clogging instructor and i would never of allowed this
Hello Rick, thanks for your support and response. I feel it is important to share that this is actually the Metis dance - The Red River Jig. It is absolutely very similar to clogging, however, this is a difference. The Red River Jig was developed in the late 1700's, and at that time, dancers would wear moccasins. Times have changed, and overtime taps were developed, as well as the stepping with square dancing/the traditional red river jig. But traditionally, homemade moccasins were worn, and as a performer, I feel it is important to keep the traditional aspect of The Red River Jig alive with wearing moccasins. We do switch up the shows between tap shoes, and moccasins - but again, this is also a preference for each and every dancer. I hope this helps explain the importance and history of the Red River Jig, as well as moccasins. Again, thanks for your support :)
