It is very useful. I guess I just tend to forget it exists lol. I know I was trying to use it here and there, but they were hyper armoring through it. Guess it needs slightly better timing than i was giving. But yeah, never see anyone using it cuz mortal draw just OP. Even in ER though, I don’t generally use skills like that. More of an R1 spammer 😂

@@crimsonearth367I respect the r1 spam, ur a lot better than me lol. Easy to say u should do this when watching but in the moment it’s a split second decision. Also u spat some facts when fighting the monk about this being ur fave game it’s mine too. Very mechanical sacrificing builds. Only way to be overpowered is to master the mechanics. Corrupted monk is my fave boss in the game the way she moves and her attack combos are just so damn cool to deflect and watch. And she is gatekeeping my favorite area in the game like it’s just perfect

Honestly hard agree. The “Light Of Miquella” he uses at the start of phase 2 just spread way too far out- to the point where, you go for a heal, he uses that in the middle of your heal, and you don’t have time to run out of it. Same deal when he knocks you down. They just made the hitbox a lot smaller. And many of his start ups to combos, literally 0 visual que before you take damage. The cross slash was just the one everyone talked about. But he had multiple attacks like that.

Making him as slow as they did though, was way overkill and unnecessary.

Thanks. And yeah, Elden Ring definitely gives you a lot to work with. I’m not really using anything fancy here though lol. Just +10 Dex physick for 3 minutes, and 350% equip load for 3 minutes. Parry shield, Great Katana with bleed. This is just basics of the basics here lol But yeah, in general, the game gives you so much to work with, even stuff like this boss doesn’t feel that bad.

He’s a brutal fight that really takes thorough understanding of his moveset. Took me 3 days just to get one W, and I spec’d my character to 99 health 💀 But thanks, I’m glad you liked it! lol

BB wrecks Malenia just as hard lol

Hard to lose when you have infinite access to heals and OP damage both. 😂 They actually buffed it to where it heals on hit rather when when you kill an enemy. As if it wasn’t overpowered enough the way it was. lol

@@crimsonearth367 wait that’s crazy I haven’t played my BB build in a while cause I knew I needed to try something more interesting, I guess that’ll be in my back pocket if the DLC gets to hard 😂

Same yeah, Malenia is a fast paced fight and you’re not waiting around for her to just do a favorable attack (most of the time, unless she’s just mean in phase 2) And Placi just takes forever even with the best builds (serpent hunter, rot and poison, freeze, it’s still at least a 7 minute fight almost always)

With 600 hours in both, Malenia is a pushover once you learn the one attack that makes her hard. Placi retains his difficulty after all those hours, because he’s unpredictable and still requires extremely tight timing. People just don’t see it cuz they tank through everything having 40+ health. Go at it with less than 20 health and thoroughly learn both fights, Malenia is a way shorter fight and is straight up easier to dodge, with the exception of the overrated waterfowl. Lmao

After no hitting both bosses, Placi is a lot harder to do it consistently. Players just get too greedy when it comes to Malenia. They don’t know how to respect her aggression, heal at bad times, go for punishes when her waterfowl isn’t on cooldown (especially Ash of Wars and jump attacks that leave you wide open) Then they just straight up get combo’d to death from not baiting out the waterfowl (just watch the tutorial for an elaboration)

But as for Placidusax, A) has a lot more health B) Weird, WEIRD hit boxes that require extremely precise timing C) His teleport spawns, wherever the hell it spawns, somewhere off in the sky. It’s never consistent. D) WHEN he finally teleports, it’s a near frame perfect dodge or it does 75% of your health with 40 vigor E) He has like 3 versions of his fire attack that all look identical at first, but it either goes way in front of him, all around him, or it chases you as you try to run. Life’s a box of chocolates! F) His big wind up AoE covers like 1/4th of the arena and if he uses it while you’re in the middle of attacking, you’re getting hit and probably one shot. Just have to know it’s coming. And finally G) the Laser attack which will still one shot you with 40 health, AND it goes for a good 10 seconds, with him just going insane, turning the entire arena into a hit box. And your only safe option is getting to the side of him, AFTER HE TELEPORTS HALFWAY ACROSS THE MAP, all the while hoping it doesn’t tag you trying to get to the safe spot.

Oh yeah, I love Elden Ring and Souls in general, but there's no denying that spam rolling and a slow paced dodge system will never compare to Bloodborne's innate quickstep. I love that they intentionally made the roll in this game terrible just to force you into the quickstep dodge loop

With that said though, have you played Lies of P? Plays a lot like Bloodborne, and Sekiro as well. Just came out last year. I think that's as close to a "sequel" to those games as we're ever gonna get

I'm almost done with my Platinum too, it's been a pain

I loved Platinum in this game casually. And yeah, Amygdala with half health is absolutely brutal. So hard to avoid damage when it comes to that boss, and hitting her is even harder a lot of the time. Vertical weapons like the Chikage and weapons with a lot of range is my best advice. Or just an upgraded gun with bone marrow ash. But regardless, she's the last and most difficult hurdle when it comes to the plat trophy.

Nah her sig doesn't scale very well beyond sig 120. Gives you nickels and dimes beyond that point
